Almijara Residence

From the moment we arrived we felt at home. Maurice was such a wonderful host. Gave us lots of advice and his breakfasts were a genuine treat. We are buying in the village and really appreciated his guidance and experience for the beautiful community in the village. Whether for a short or longer restorative break we cannot recommend this property highly enough. There is a reason it’s number one. Outstanding in every way and people make the place always. Good location, lovely accommodation both clean and welcoming, Maurice looked after us providing excellent recommendations for restaurant. The breakfast was lovely and surprise each morning as you didn’t know what you were getting until it arrived. The bed was very comfortable. Cómpeta was a beautiful place to explore and get lost in.

Almijara Residents is one of my favorite boutique hotels and one of the reasons I return to Compèta as often as I do. From the warm welcome I always receive from the owners, to the comfortable room I can retreat to, it feels more like coming home then just a holiday experience. Added to the warm welcome and very comfortable room and bed, a must for a good holiday, I love the roof terrace. It probably has the best view in the village and a space I absolutely love to start and end my day on. To add to the experience one I have now repeated a few times, the breakfast Maurice creates are amazing, and a wonderful surprise to each morning, always served with warmth and care. The location of Almijara is perfect, right on the square, I love it, we can walk to anything and everything and although on the square, peaceful and tranquil inside my room. I have returned on a few occasions and for me, as much as I love Compèta, my favorite Almijara Residence is very much part of the reason I keep coming back.
