Resort Cordial Santa Águeda & Perchel Beach Club

What a beautiful resort for a stay in Gran Canaria. You have the feeling of a hotel, but with the comfort of your own home. I like the fact that the houses have everything, from a dishwasher to a washing machine. With bath robes for every person, cleaning every day and staff that come with a smile. On Christmas Day we were welcomed by Desiree, who was lovely and explained all about the resort. And every morning Monica received us with a great smile at breakfast. Takes time for a talk and explains the children were to find which items. That is a rare to find and what make this resort perfect for us! Love to come again.

Having Ocean Front villa for a one week was really pleasant experience. It was spacious (3 bedrooms) and well equipped. Nice own pool to have a swim. However, kitchenware had seen better days. Luckily by the help of reception we got new frying pans etc. to cook some food. Breakfast was very English style and tasty. Local restaurant (dinner) was a bit of disappointment. Generally highly recommended place to spend holidays.

We have had an amazing holiday, we love this place. The staff are amazing and so welcoming it has felt like a home from home and I am so relaxed. To save time though, let’s start this by saying if you want noisy nightlife, full English breakfasts and Irish bars right on your doorstep then this is not the place for you. A bit about us to put our review in context. We generally go All Inclusive, are not adventurous and don’t speak Spanish bar the basic please and thank you. I fancied trying self catering now our boys are over 18 but I had not realised that there wasn’t a bar in the evening here before I booked. This might have stopped me and I am so glad it didn’t because we have had the BEST holiday. The accommodation is amazing. We had the deluxe duplex home with private pool. There is everything in the kitchen that you could possibly want bar an oven. I didn’t plan to cook and we had gorgeous food delivered from El Barco Pizzeria in Puerto Rico. Ask reception for a leaflet. Ordered via WhatsApp and pay card or cash on delivery. The menu caters for all. The home is cleaned daily and washing machine and dishwasher tablets replenished. Toilet rolls, handwash and shower gel are provided along with washing up liquid and cloths. Arguineguin is an easy 10 minute walk where you will find many restaurants all serving delicious food. We visited a couple and loved it so if you want eating out and bars it isn’t far to go. They all accept card in our experience and they are reasonably priced. They all seem to have a menu in English. We caught the number 1 bus to Puerto Rico a couple of times. If you download their app it is easy. Contactless pay as you board. The buses are frequent and cheap. The ferry to and from Mogan, Anfi and Puerto Rico is also easy and you can board in the harbour. You pay on the boat. Look at Lineas Salmon for the timetable. All three of the resorts mentioned above are worth a visit. Having your own pool is amazing. You can please yourself, no stress at all. The washing machine is a bonus so no dirty washing to take home. It dries in no time in the sunshine. There is a large plastic airer to dry your clothes, bring pegs. Everything here is high end, they have thought of everything. In contrast, we found the beach club next door unfriendly (apart from the guy who greets you at the door, he was lovely). It is beautiful with gorgeous views and fab sunsets and if you like being on a sunbed all day you will love it. There is bar service but we were ignored the second time we visited and just felt awkward and unwelcome in the Chill Out Bar. The drinks are expensive compared to anywhere else we have visited this week. You can order food in the bar which isn’t obvious just ask the restaurant for a menu. We are fussy eaters but they let you order from the kids menu and the portions were huge and reasonably priced. The Spar is well stocked, opens from 8am to 9pm and on the whole is reasonably priced unless you want to buy U

Fantastic 10 days at Cordial Santa Águeda. Weather was perfect, lovely spacious duplex apartment and Perchel Beach Club is amazing. The staff cannot do enough for you and big shout out to Carlos and Yunes in the El Refectorio restaurant at Perchel. Already booked to come back in June.

Wonderful stay! Staff was incredibly friendly, and breakfast was a daily treat, especially thanks to Monica’s cheerful smiles. The villas are in a quiet area, just a 10-minute walk to a local village with a few restaurants, and tourist spots are 15 minutes away by taxi (around €20). Note: the villas are close together, so you may hear neighbors, especially when kids are enjoying the private pools.

We stayed in a duplex with our own small pool and garden to sunbathe in. We used this every day but also felt very lucky to have access to two lovely shared pools and sunbeds. Being October it was relatively quiet and the weather was exceptional. The on site spar has a brilliant selection of everything you could want as well as fresh sandwiches and ice cream. Consequently we didn't use the restaurants but the snacks we had at the beach bar were delicious. We went to the beach every night to watch the amazing sunsets and it never got boring. These are a few highlights but there was so much more. Without exception the staff were helpful and courteous which really made our stay.
