It was a great location to every highlight of the city, it was clean. Bed was so cozy. All the products in the room was provided very well. Reception was kind and it was an easy check-in process. They even brought me map to show around and highlighted special places for me. Dont expect luxury it was pretty boutique and small, I have a whole outdoor terrace for me to smoke. Would Recommend

Great location in city centre, near lots of good shops, museums and restaurants. Hotel itself is in a beautiful historic building that has been decorated with care and personality. Very clean and quiet. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the owner was charming and hospitable, going out of his way to make us feel comfortable. Loved my stay there and will definitely be back!

After being given a warm welcome, I had a great stay at this hotel. It was extremely hot during my stay and so the air conditioning in the bedroom was very welcome. The location was good, with a short trip to the Metro that meant it was easy to get around Cologne. There are good local shops and restaurants and while busy, it was also quiet in the hotel during the night. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again at the hotel.

This is a cute hotel in an old (I.e. atmospheric) building, where we had a spacious, light room with a comfort bed and everything we needed. Because of the old wooden floors we could sometimes hear the upstairs neighbours walk, but they were decent and we had quiet nights to sleep well in. The electronic door opening system was very cool, very modern. Staff were all friendly. We loved the art and design in the room and common area, a suggestion would be to add that to the halls on the upper floors and the staircase, too, as we missed it there. And a final minor thing for the hotel to watch is that the shower gel bottle is full, as there was only one portion left in ours. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

We loved our brief stay at Maison Marsil - such a charming boutique hotel and easy walk to shops and town centre. We booked a little suite on the top floor that was like a small apartment with a lovely view of a local church - very cosy and perfect for me and my teenage son who loved his own room! Breakfast was great and the hotel team very kind and accommodating. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Really great hotel. Central location and very well kept. Excellent breakfast. Staff very helpful and friendly. Particular thanks to the hotel for getting me a box of chocolates for a birthday that ends in zero. Thanks again for a fantastic stay

We arrived late, but were greeted by a very accommodating and friendly host. Our room was minimalistic, clean and comfortable, lacking nothing. The place has an understated cool factor, with some old charm. We enjoyed our morning breakfast, again, with gracious hosts, before taking our short walk (about15 in) to the lively historic center.

My partner and I had a lovely 3 nights stay. We had a warm welcome from Vera who greeted us on reception. The hotels location is close to bars, shops and restaurants. It’s also only a 5 minute walk to the metro. The staff team provided us with a map of the area and also recommended some local restaurants which we tried and which were great. The room was large and bright. Good sized bathroom with a decent shower. The bed was large and comfortable. There’s also a mini fridge in the room. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily rebook if we return to Cologne.

My wife and I would highly recommend this lovely hotel. We stayed for two nights and everybody was so helpful and friendly that it was like staying with friends. Our train was badly delayed and we arrived after midnight but Frank and his team made sure we could get in and showed genuine concern for our well-being. Room was quiet and very comfortable and the breakfast on each day was superb. But the best thing about Maison Marsil is the people - who really care about their guests, such a change from the bigger hotel chains where the staff only pretend to care. We wish Frank and his team every good wish for the future.

Maison Marsil was a terrific stay in every respect. The owners are very nice and pleasant. The room was very comfortable with a comfy bed and linens, a nice balcony, fridge and room to move. They do offer a dialy breakfast but we did not partake in it. It is perfectly located near Neumarkt- not even a 5 minute walk to the plaza, shopping, terrific restaurants tram and metro. It is only 2 metro stops to the Dome. We highly recommed!

Lovely boutique hotel with very kind staff. The location was great, walkable to the city centre, but on a quiet street away from crowds. Breakfast was very good, and the rooms were cozy and clean!

Everything about our stay was great. A nice room, friendly staff, good breakfast... It's in the center but it was really calm during the nights. Would recommend when you are visiting Cologne! Also a very fair price.

Lovely large room with a small sitting-room, giving onto the street, but it was all very quiet. large bathroom and very good shower. Very nice friendly and welcoming staff I could faintly hear noise from a party downstairs, but nothing to keep me from sleeping. One thing could have been better. I had a large double bed with a rather thin duvet for a single person.This means the duvet couldn't be fastened. It was both too light and traveled around too much for me not to wake up from time to time because I was cold and had to rearrange the whole thing. If you're going to give a single guest a large bed, please provide adequate covering.
