Really who goes to Coyhaique in Winter? We did because we are trying to ski all of the ski areas in South America. We had the place to ourselves and enjoyed great personal service. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the region. It is just a couple of minutes out of town. Their sign is a little hard to see since it sets back a few feet from the roadway. The wood tones and tiles that they used make you feel like you are in a natural setting. I also liked there not being any television. The WiFi was broken when we arrived but Ruth had it fixed two days later and let us use the connection down by her house until it was repaired. If you are an animal lover like I am you will be glad to know that Ruth started a SPCA in the town and that says a lot to me about the kind of person she is. The town is a good staging point for some great scenery, but the infrastructure and dinning choices are few and far between in the city.

We had a Fantastic meal in the restaurant with a group of our friends. The service was excellent, the menu had plenty of choice and the food was wonderful. The staff at the hotel could not have been more friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a Peaceful location on the edge of town.

Gourmet dinner and breakfast that must have been produced by a very high class chef. Truly stunning presentation of dishes and tucked away amongst holiday cabins in a not very fashionable part of Coyhaique. How luck a find was that? Amazing!

Patagonia House is a true diamond in the rough. The comfortable, private and quiet rooms and fantastic restaurant offer a wonderfully relaxing experience for the traveler. The grounds, friendly staff and excellent hospitality made it a welcome begin and end to our vacation in Patagonia.

Leaving this charming hotel early this morning was difficult. Our room was great. The quality of the bed was perfect. We have enjoyed very much from the shower. Great breakfast & fantastic restaurant. Behind this masgic place stands Ruth. The Dinamo of this hotel.

Top class. Food superb. Service fantastic. Lovely location away from any busy streets. Very quiet. Very nice rooms. Owner Ruth was very helpful and friendly. One word of caution: we ordered the hot tub but were not advised of its cost ($145 USD). Yikes. It needed to be heated up to use for 4 hours prior to use. It was very nice, however, and Sergio brought us a Pisco Sour each. I would have ordered two had I known the cost! But the view from the tub was superb. A great place which we would not hesitate to go back to.

I stayed here with friends, and we instantly felt at home. The highlights for me were the delicious breakfasts, comfortable beds, blackout curtains for catching up on sleep, and the hot tub, which cost extra. The staff accommodated requests and helped us coordinate the airport shuttle. I also enjoyed their gift shop, which had well-curated sweaters, keychains, gin, etc.

Beautiful hotel with big great rooms in a quiet garden! A good breakfast buffet. The only downside is that no hotel employee is wearing a protective mask, or any other kind of protection, during the Covid-19 pandemic. When confronted, the answer is that they are being tested and therefore do not need a protection (not even in the kitchen/buffet). The signs clearly state that the guests need to wear masks (as the whole country does), but not the employee. A little lack of respect towards the guest in our opinion.

After staying in some of the most beautiful resorts and cabanas in Chile over the past three weeks we arrived at Patagonia house one hour ago It is the worst. No views, rat traps around the cabana, a 3 night cabana 20 feet from the workers dormitory, $720.of US dollars . Hot, dusty, dirty , We are going to forfeit the next two days , loose the money and rent a house in the country for 1/3 of the cost. They shouldn’t be able to get away with this.
