This isn’t a hotel- it is an Airbnb without a kitchen. On the site they say there is a breakfast buffet- when they send check in details they tell you there is no breakfast. There is also no room service. They leave 2 coffee pods in the room with a coffee maker. They also tell you that you can go to a bakery across the road to buy something for your breakfast but that it is closed on Sundays. If you book a ‘hotel’ you expect there to be an operating kitchen

Mit Gastfreudschaft wird man im Hotel Hahnemühle leider nicht willkommen geheißen und dass war es eigentlich was unseren Aufenthalt am meisten getrübt hat. Zudem machen die Fotos mehr her als die Zimmer in Wirklichkeit aussehen. Die Kaffeemaschine hat nicht funktioniert, die im Zimmer stand, die Zustellbetten waren zu kurz und nur für Kinder geeignet. Außerdem liegt es an einer sehr lauten Straße in Coburg, so dass man nur bei zuem Fenster schlafen kann und das alles für diesen stolzen Preis. Als Unterkunft nicht zu empfehlen.

Voor ons verblijf in Coburg dit hotel uitgekozen qua recensies en inderdaad de charme van het oude pand. Qua kamer prima; alles netjes, schoon en mooi ingericht. Kamers zijn niet echt groot. Hotel was volgeboekt en van de andere hotelgasten heb je totaal geen last. De prijs van €100 per nacht( zonder ontbijt) is te veel. Het hotel ligt zeer gunstig gelegen aan het begin van de mooie binnenstad en wordt door de eigenaresse daardoor betiteld als een “hotspot”. En dat klopt wel; de plaatselijke hangjongeren hebben ons twee dagen tot diep in de nacht wakker gehouden. Het hotel is gelegen aan smalle doorgang die de binnenstad verbind met de bioscoop. Hier lopen continue veel jongeren doorheen met de nodige herrie na een avondje stappen. Slapen was er voor ons helaas niet bij. Ik vermeld het maar even……als ik dit geweten had, had ik een ander hotel geboekt.

We hebben honderd euro per kamer per nacht betaald. Hiervoor verwacht ik toch een redelijk goed hotel. Even de voors en tegens op een rij. Coburg is een leuke plaats om voor een dag of twee rond te kijken en te wandelen. De Veste is echt een aanrader. Het hotel ligt gunstig en centraal, maar dat is ook gelijk een bron van ergernis. We hebben de twee nachten dat we er waren nauwelijks geslapen. Er was zoveel lawaai rondom het hotel dat slapen bijna onmogelijk was. De kamer in het hotel was niet erg groot, wel redelijk schoon. Naast ons bed pikte het van waarschijnlijk iets van limonade van een vorige bezoeker(waarschijnlijk niet opgemerkt door de schoonmaak). Het was buiten warm, hierdoor was de kamer ook erg warm, heet kun je wel zeggen. Erg onprettig! De WiFi was ronduit slecht. Dus wat ons betreft was dit hotel geen succes en zeker niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Bei der Buchung wird ein Deluxe Zimmer verkauft und auch berechnet, jedoch nach der Beschreibung der Zimmer auf der homepage wird einem lediglich ein Superior Zimmer zugeteilt. In unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft liegt das Utopolis (Großkino und Club). Während der Corona Zeit sicherlich kein Thema, aber jetzt wieder offen und sehr laut. An Schaf war nicht zu denken, trotz geschlossener Fenster. Auch am nächsten Morgen sind die Spuren (halbleere Alkoholflaschen, zerbrochenes Glas, Erbrochenes,...um das Hotel verteilt. Schade, denn Coburg ist eine sehenswerte Stadt, aber das Hotel ist nicht zu empfehlen.
