Oasis Motel

Great no-fuss hotel. As advertised. Neat spacious rooms, good secure parking. Friendly staff - good looking place. Walking distance from all amenities. Definately the place to stop as you travel through Cobar. No EV or HEV or PHEV charging available nor any external wall plugs for overnight trickle charging. But, then there is no other charging spots available in the town anyway - would be a great addition!!! Other than that, this is the place to go in Cobar.

Very pleasantly surprised, to find such good quality accomodation in Cobar. Chapeau! We travelled trough Australia and stayed in over 30 hotels/motels in July-August-September, without a doubt this was the best and by far not the most expensive.

Really nice hotel situated on the highway into Cobar. The rooms are good size are clean and comfortable. Staff at reception are friendly and welcoming. We were made to feel at home. Easy access to eateries in town. We only stayed one night, but this is highly recommended.

On our Roadtrip to far North Queensland we stopped off for our 1st night at the Oasis Motel Cobar. This is a great place to stay, newly refurbished and everything you could need. Microwave, fridge, coffee, tea,biscuits and fresh milk and plates cups knives forks and spoons. A beautiful room with double and single bed plus a lovely bathroom with shower and amenities. We would definitely stay here again and our advice is book ahead as it was fully booked up when we arrived mid August and we had booked a couple of weeks before we stayed there. Cobar is a lovely town to stay in and the coffee was great at the local bakery.

I found this Motel very comfortable well serviced very clean and within 10 minutes walk of the town centre. The staff were only too happy to drive us to the airport 7 Kl away as the only taxi in town was very busy. I* wold be happy to stay at this motel again.

Warm welcome and helpful local info at Reception. Cosy room. Comfortable bed. Very clean. Lots of thoughtful touches - tissues, Twinings tea, Tim Tams in the fridge (all the T’s). Peaceful - occasional road noise but very little at night Good linens and towels. Serviced after Day 1 (2 night stay).

Great new motel in the western end of town. Clean modern rooms and facilities with outside adjacent parking. This is our 3rd stay in the hotel and the staff are very helpful. Short walk into town with many food options. Quiet rooms despite proximity of highway.

I was travelling by road from Townsville to Bendigo & ran out of pff nearing Cobar, n spec I rang the Oasis in Cobar, very late in the day on the outward trip, not expecting a room by then, only to find that not only was there a room available, but it was no trouble & what else could we do to help. Well, that included waving me into their Motel after midnight (after I went o the wrong motel), helping me park my car & car trailer. This was very early on Sunday morning & was repeated again very late on Sunday night. Wonderful service, vert comfortable room & bed, wanted for nothng, highly recommend.

Booked 1 night accommodation for a deluxe twin for $160/night. The motel is located on the western end of town, within walking distance to town. The motel is 2 storey & at time of booking I requested a ground floor room. A friendly efficient & informative check in. Allocated Room 3, on the ground floor (thank you!). The car parking spaces are not numbered, but this was not an issue. This is a really comfortable room with a queen size bed & a single one. Bar fridge, microwave, courtesy tray. The air con is quiet & efficient. The wifi is free & fast. The ensuite has an openable window & a walk in shower with a rain shower, with good water pressure. Even though on the main road in town, we heard no traffic through the night & slept well.
