Buttermilk Lodge Guest Accommodation

I stayed at four different B&Bs during my recent trip to Ireland. This one was my favorite, hands down! I had just grown accustomed to the idea that B&B meant small accommodations and small en suite bathrooms and then I stayed here. In the pictures you can see that not only was the room spacious but so was the bathroom (which included a tub). The bed was comfy and the room was well-appointed. There were a couple of thoughtful touches like the walking guide (guide to local trails and hikes) and the USB charger on the night table. The room featured a flat screen TV to which I was able to connect my laptop. The wi-fi was plenty zippy so I could watch a little Netflix at night. Breakfast was typically good of an Irish B&B. Even a cut above considering that in addition to the traditional Irish breakfast, the proprietors featured a daily special. Oh, and I liked all the cow knickknacks. Location-wise, Buttermilk lodge is located close to downtown Clifden which features several nice pubs and restaurants. It's also located about 15 km from Connemara National Park which is lovely and has a couple of nice hiking trails. And as if all that weren't enough, I think this was the least expensive B&B I stayed in. Like the review title says, I can't recommend it enough.

Very nice room. Breakfast was excellent. And, the price for the BandB was very reasonable. Would stay here again if ever in the area. Quiet room also. Owner serving breakfast was friendly and efficient.

Really lovely the host was so kind coffee on arrival, menus of all bars or food places intetesting people there from canada, clean friendly and efficient will go back, breakfast tasty and freshly cooked great location for the town thank you
