第一次是六年前服務質量都非常好， 所以新冠之後來到愛爾蘭首選就是它， 可惜這一次的整個感覺和第一次差遠了，比較失望☹️……
首先房間裏面的無線網常常中斷或者是沒信號。打電話和前台聯繫給到我們的回覆，居然是説在鄉村裡信號不好。現在科技已經那麼發達了，這樣的理由實在太牽強了。
其次是房間裏沒有飲用水沒有了， 請服務員送水，結果服務員讓我們自己去拿，這是一個星級的酒店該有的服務嗎？
理解店家用手寫的菜單來表示他們的高大上，可是整個菜單的字體讓人非常難於閲讀， 密密麻麻的，看的人頭暈。不是那種讓人舒服，明瞭的字體和排版。
既然是城堡酒店，就應該能夠讓人周圍走一走。 六年前是可以的，現在很多地方都圍了門欄。根本無法去走看。

Stayed at the Abbey Glen Castle Hotel on March 22nd 2025 with my sisters. The occasion was a Birthday. Had a wonderful experience from start to end. Room was spacious clean & beds very comfortable. The ambiguous was olde world tradition of a castle. Owner and his staff were friendly caring and food delicious. Good atmosphere in bar after dinner with lively sing song . Can't wait to return

I rated this a 5 even though there were a few things not perfect. It deserves a 5 because of the extra attention to making sure you are content that eliminates any negatives. There are lots of beautiful communal sitting areas. Every evening, the owner, Brian, hosts a prosecco gathering where he speaks about the history of both the property and the town of Clifden. Interesting enough that we attended both nights we were there. Brian walked around and took pictures of each group which was then given out at dinner, or the pub later, or breakfast the next morning. Food was delicious. Service was stunningly attentive. Brian sent our porter on a mission so he carried our bags to our room himself.

Beautiful picturesque castle hotel. Wonderfully charming staff, who go above and beyond to ensure you have the most amazing stay. My suit was a dream with a four poster bed, magnificent fireplace and a private terrace overlooking the beautifully manicured gardens 😀 Complementary 'bubbles ' reception was held for all the guests with a brief history of the hotel from the owner ! Dinner was fabulous & the entertainment in the bar after dinner was the best with Brian (the owner) playing the piano and singing a mix of songs encouraging the packed bar to join in ! Will definitely make a return to this special place ! Thanks to all who made it so special

Great experience. Was meaning to review earlier in year. Stayed 2 nights here. Loved the experience. Hotel looks historic in outside and really does well to keep authentic through out. Rooms were actually really nice, very comfortable, and nicer than the pictures online (our was anyway). Felt like newly refurbed. Food was great, would recommend booking dinner each night as menu changes. Love the castle / manor feel to it also, lovely (quirky )staff, just want you want at an older style property. Everything was spotlessly clean, but had a lovely old world grit to it. Piano in bar was great after( not sure if the name of the lady , she was amazing!) We are planning to go back again.

Loved the room and staff were friendly. However could not facilitate request for vegan food despite a weeks notice. Was served avocado and tomato in a cream sauce which I sent back, they mostly wiped the cream sauce off and I was charged 16€ for tomato and avocado no dressing. The main was a small mushy broccoli potato cake, no salad or veg, it could have fitted on a small side plate and I was charged 39€ for this. Left restaurant still hungry. Started to feel sick soon after so pretty certain there was dairy in the main as I can no longer tolerate it. Would not eat here again. It would have been better if they had advised me that they could not accommodate my request.

We booked this hotel on a whim after booking a fishing expedition in the area. We were so pleasantly surprised with how comfortable, calm and fun this place was! There is a champagne toast and history talk in the bar every night and the owners are so informative and funny! DO NOT SKIP THE DINNER! This food was amazing! Worth the price! We tried appetizers in town our second night and decided to go back to the hotel for dinner because it was THAT good! The treatment rooms available are quaint and peaceful and Laura is very sweet. Late night bar music/ shenanigans available! Don’t bother going into town, this is right below your room!
