The name of the hotel is no longer Quality Inn but it is Rodeway Inn. I booked 2 nights at your hotel through ******* for February 15 and 16, 2022. I selected pay at the hotel and when we arrived late on February 15 (after 9pm). We paid for 2 nights ($223) plus $100 deposit. When we went to the room there was smell of cigarette and the room was dirty. Receptionist offered us alternative room and it was even worse. We showed her the pictures we took and asked her to cancel our booking and refund us. She said that since we booked it through *******, she is unable to cancel. I called ******* and cancelled the booking. I was informed that the hotel would charge me the first night ($108) and they cancelled the second night. Since we were tired and did not have energy to search and find another hotel, we decided to stay the first night and checked out in the next morning. The receptionist refunded the deposit, gave us account print and told us that Hotel Manager will handle the refund and may call us. Hotel Manager did not call and there is no refund made until now. I called several times but either he was not there or unavailable. I sent email message to the address provided on the statement of account (798153295) on March 5, 2022 by attaching the statement, but no response. I followed up the same message twice, yet no response. I complained about this situation to the Choice Hotel through their website and no response from the Choice Hotels as well. I would not stay in Rodeway Inn Central Clearwater at all and would stay away from hotels under Choice Hotels chain.
