Property Description
Your health and safety comes first to us! We are using products approved by the CDC to eradicate any lingering germs, bacteria, and viruses. We are taking extra precautions by ensuring all commonly touched surfaces are wiped down completely. The linens, towels, bed sheets, etc. are washed per manufacturers guidelines. We are also stocking our home with essential disinfectants and supplies to help you follow the CDC’s guidelines. We look forward to welcoming you to our property and hosting your stay. The Peacock Pad is a clean, comfortable home and will be a place you will want to return to again. There is a wild peacock that has been known to roam and admire himself in the reflection of the large windows. The Peacock Pad is modern and elegant, with tasteful and minimal décor. It is conveniently located mid way between two main towns on the North Olympic Peninsula, Sequim and Port Angeles. It is hidden away at the end of a road in the best kept local secret; a very small, award-winning community over looking the Strait of Juan de Fuca. It has a unique access to the beach via a five minute hiking trail along a creekside which forms a lagoon at the end before spilling into the Strait. Beachcombing is a must on this special stretch of beach. Wildlife watching and photographing is a part of the entire experience here. The deer will be seen just outside your window and the eagles will be perched in the trees as you enjoy the views of the water. The three bedroom peacock pad is ornately decorated and tastefully equipped with everything you will need to enjoy yourself. All bedrooms have comfortable mattresses, two queen beds, and one standard double bed, and a comfortable living room. Sleeps 6 in beds. Washer/dryer, glass top stove, dishwasher. 2 full bathrooms. You will share our private beach trail with our other guests at Hunters' Gate Homes. It is a gated, five minute hike with some large steps which are not easily navigated by small children or inexperienced hikers. Once down to the bottom you will be rewarded with a beautiful beach where the fresh creek water forms a lagoon that spills out into the salt water Strait of Juan de Fuca. You can walk and beach comb to the Dungeness Spit or head in a westerly direction toward Port Angeles. The quaint little neighborhood store, Agnew Grocery & Feed, is only a five minute drive away, offering fresh local produce and a large selection of wine and other refreshments besides the basic grocery items. Sunny Farms Country Store is only ten minutes away where you'll find a larger variety of items including a deli and a fresh fish and meat market. There are four restaurants all within a ten minute drive which are all highly recommended. If you want to venture further away, both Sequim and Port Angeles each only a twenty minute drive offer many more choices for shopping and dining. The start of the road up to Hurricane Ridge and the Olympic National Park is a short twenty minute drive. You can plan longer day trips to the Pacific Ocean and the Hoh Rainforest and return after your adventure to our quiet, restful, tranquil treasure, the Peacock Pad. This property is located in a nice quiet neighborhood with access to the beach. Clean and very spacious. Deer are everywhere and fun to watch. I would highly recommend this property.

The Peacock House was such a pleasant and relaxing home-base for us while we were visiting family in the area. We loved seeing the deer each morning out front, using the trail to walk down to the beach, and resting in the comfortable beds. The Peacock House is filled with light and had everything we needed for our stay. I am thankful to have found this property and can't wait to stay again when we visit the area!

We were looking forward to having air conditioning on site, but we're disappointed to find that there was NO air conditioning. Fans were provided and windows needed to be cracked in order to stay cool. There was a DVD player, but no DVDs. After we acquired a DVD, the player was unable to be properly connected to the TV. All in all, we thought the location was great and the accomodations were very clean. We had a lot of fun counting peacocks :)

This property was perfect for our needs! We used it as our base for visiting Hurricane Ridge and Crescent Lake at Olympic National Park. It was very clean and spacious enough for our group of six. But our favorite parts were the beach access and how close it was to the overlook from which you can see Canada! We would definitely stay here again!

Nice little place steps from water overlooks. Ultra clean. Well maintained and had all needed kitchen ware . Easy check in and check out. Peacock theme hit a wee bit overwhelming after a while - there is peacock stuff everywhere.

Great house and location! The house was perfect for our family of 6. Location was great for exploring Olympic NP. We especially loved the beach access. My son was able to catch some trout in the stream that feeds into the straight.

Very cozy spot Excellent location. Host was great about communicating. The unit felt very spacious. My only advice would be to upgrade to a smart tv. No ability to access things like Netflix or other streaming services. But I would 100% stay here again. Awesome location.
