This place is kind of magical. The grounds are so beautiful and you can feel the history of this place. They have lots of activities for guests—horses, bikes, etc. and the sulfur spring is gorgeous. (You get used to the smell). NO tv’s—this is a place to unplug and relax with family or friends. The staff is very warm & kind. My mom wanted a particular music cd, and one of the staff members bought it for her in the nearest town/village and brought it the next day! Interesting wildlife to see, especially bird watching. The landscape is lush. Taninul is a total gem. Disclaimer—if you are the kind of traveler that needs everything to be absolutely perfect or like a Holiday Inn, this may not be the place for you. But if you’re a traveler that likes to explore, find special spots off the beaten western path, sit in a rocking chair & read a book, sip tequila with friends while sitting in the stinky (lol), healing, sulfuric springs, then you’ll surely enjoy Taninul!
