The hotel is dated in parts and our room was a little tired although it was a superior room we overlooked wasteland and nort a sunny sea view we expected. However, the room was clean and the public areas spacious The staff were friendly and reception efficient

The location is very good Paying for the indoor pool....very expensive Overbearing attitude from spa staff. No cell phones allowed in the spa I didn't like the open bathroom in the room. The shower is too narrow and the shower palm too small.

The hotel was lovely, location great. The room was spotlessly clean. We did not eat but had a drink at the pool bar which was lovely.

Got a nice sea view at the common area. (I saw fireworks at night because of their festival). Since it's bear to the playa Chica, you can just go swimming there and look your stuff in the hostel without worrying getting stolen. Very nice for solo travelers! Btw it really work snorkeling or swimming to see the fish there!!! It's also near to the bus stop las Vista and the shopping mall so you can get to playa Blanca/arricefe/airport/any tours you joined easily. Have laundry and drying service for 10 euros (but you have to ask for the staff at the reception). The reception staffs don't speak English well but they try their best to communicate with me with Google translate, which I appreciate.

We spent 16 nights over Christmas and New Year at the Fariones and had a great time. The Hotel is beautifully and tastefully renovated with subtle luxury in a classic mid- century design which you would typically find in smaller boutique hotels. Many old features of the traditional Fariones Hotel were kept which all together provides a very comfortable and classy and elegant atmosphere without being stuffy or fussy. The grounds and garden resemble top luxury resorts in Thailand or the Maldives with plenty of palm trees, exotic gardens and many different and private areas for lounging, sun bathing, relaxing and so on. All 3 restaurants have their own style with great food and service. All rooms have sea views with a high level of comfort, design and decoration The sports center 2 minutes walk away although a little older offered everything needed and more... The hygiene concept was professional and taken seriously Hotel Director Jörg and his team made great efforts during Christmas and New Year with a classy programme of dining, entertainment, live music and daily piano sessions which all in all provided a very festive atmosphere. The multinational team of the Fariones displayed a very positive spirit. The hotel opened only a few month before the holiday season and it seemed that everone was exited to be back in business ater 4 yers of renovation. Despite the reopening there was not a single negative service moment in over 2 weeks. Just to name a few staff members who made it a special stay for us: Arnaud, Emilie and Javier from reception. Good restaurant open only for lunch in low season and nice swimming pool with sauna, unfortunately I was not able to use the hot tub, despite being very close to the chaos of Puerto del Carmen it is an extremely quiet place with a very comfortable bed, if you have a car I recommend having dinner at 'la ermita' about three km away but it is really worth it, early check-in at 11 am very welcome, will definitely come back!!
