The most beautiful location near to Palermo Airport. You have to be fit to climb the many hills and steps to get to anything. Food was fantastic. Entertainment good .

I’ve just returned from a week in Sicily at the CDS Hotel. The setting is absolutely stunning, perched on a cliff top with breathtaking views over the sea. The food was very good, though I’d recommend heading to lunch and dinner early, as it can get quite busy and a little chaotic later on. We chose to skip the all-inclusive breakfast most days, as it often felt disorganized, with long lines and little regard for order. Overall, the hotel offers a fantastic location with incredible views. The rooms are fairly basic and the air conditioning could be much better, but the food was lovely—just expect the usual all-inclusive crowds and occasional lack of courtesy from fellow guests.

My family and I have just returned from a week at CDS Hotel Terrasini Città del Mare (31st July – 7th August 2025). It didn’t start well in fact, at one point I considered changing hotels but I’m glad we decided to give it a chance. By the end of the week, we were pleased we stayed. Arrival & First Impressions We arrived around 11:30am and found the reception team friendly and helpful. We already knew our rooms wouldn’t be ready until 2:00pm, but the disappointment came when we learned that until 3:00pm, any food or drink would need to be paid for. Having travelled since 2:30am, this wasn’t the warm welcome we’d hoped for, especially for an “all-inclusive” stay. Later, at 2:00pm, we were offered a complimentary cocktail unfortunately, after we’d already paid for drinks. One quirk worth noting: paper cups are standard everywhere except the reception bar and restaurants, where you can request a glass. All-Inclusive Expectations The all-inclusive package here is unusual if . Only certain drinks are included, and snack options are limited croissants, yes; pizza, no (unless you pay extra). Rooms We had two superior rooms in the Elba block. They were clean but basic perfectly fine for us as we only used them for sleeping and freshening up. The cleaning team were fantastic, servicing our rooms daily without being asked. The bathroom could do with a refit but are fit for purpose. Dining The main buffet restaurant offered plenty of fresh fish, meat, pasta, and salads for lunch and dinner. Breakfast, however, was repetitive. We tried all three reservation-only restaurants: Sicilian Restaurant – a buffet, but with amazing food. Pizzeria – Excellent pizza, and you can take leftovers with you (we took two and a half pizzas to the beach the next day). Vegetarian Restaurant – This was a disappointment; the food was cold and the choice very limited. A tip: all bars close from 1:00pm–3:00pm, so plan ahead. Beach & Lido The private beach is fantastic, with stunning views. There’s a small bar for drinks (included) and snacks like crisps and ice creams (extra cost). We noticed some guests had brown paper bags from the hotel but didn’t ask about them by then we’d become self-sufficient and brought our own supplies, allowing us to spend the whole day there. Between 1:00pm–3:30pm, it felt like our own private paradise as most guests headed back to the hotel. The Lido area with sea slides is also a highlight fun, scenic, and perfect for swimming or snorkelling. Activities & Entertainment There’s plenty to do: tennis, crazy golf, boules, football, archery, basketball, volleyball, and more. The animation team works tirelessly (what must be 16-hour days), and the hotel app is handy for checking what’s on. Overall If you’re looking for a classic, fully-inclusive experience with premium cocktails and high-end dining, this isn’t it.
