The Barrel Store Cirencester

Not about the hostel but wow traveller's sure aren't as friendly anymore. Heat was too high, uncomfortable sleep as sweating even with windows open and ita cool outside!

Very nice hostel, clean and tidy. Recommended. Central location ideal for accessing Cirencester area, park and shops.

Good location! No car parking which would’ve been a bonus. Overall, very good stay - had a nice option to make breakfast if needed in the morning.

Very small rooms with small beds that are not great for a taller person. You don't get a kettle or TV. I guess the hook on the wall counts as clothes storage! Very very small bathroom more like a narrow broom cupboard. The bathroom is so small that you can't get your knees in position on the toilet as it's too tight against the wall. After showering you have to use the supplied rake to rake the water that spreads into the rest of the bathroom back towards the shower where there is a soak away that doesn't actually drain the water properly whilst you're showering. You do get supplied with clean towels and bedding and everything is mostly clean. I say mostly as visible dust on top of the doors, dirty marks on walls that could do with repainting. You wouldn't want to stay more than one night but personally I wouldn't stay again.

The place is great value for money. fantastic location, really clean rooms and bathrooms. Very well maintained. And has a common kitchen with basics and a microwave you can heat your food in. Would definitely recommend. The location is also perfectly in the middle of the town with all stores and restaurants just minutes away by walk.
