Overall, as stated by many other reviews, this hotel is the value-for-money champion. Personally, I would rate if a hotel were a real five star hotel or simply a 'self-proclaimed' five star hotel based on the service rendered. Le Meridien Chongqing excelled in this aspect. Every staff member I had interacted with was friendly and warm.
Check-in: Was swift and unlike many chinese hotels which are distrusting of their customers, they did not ask for a deposit. Saves the hassle.
Room: It was spacious, I had previously read some other reviews which complained about the red cupboard at the entrance was terrifying, but personally I liked the chinese style decor. The aircon was slightly noisy and not the most effective, but I liked sleeping in a slightly cooler room. The bed was comfortable, although one side seemed to be more 'slept in' than the other, possibly a sign of the hotel's age. I did also notice some stains and wear and tear in the room but it was nothing serious so I will let that slide. The greatest sign of wear and tear is the shower head, which although was Hansgrohe branded, felt like it was about to break when I tried to change the shower mode. Toiletries were from the Malin+Goetz brand, which I really liked! But of course, ThisWorks branded ones used by Marriott hotels are slightly better.
Facilities: There was an indoor pool and a well-equipped gym- with a smith machine, something that is not available in some 5 star hotels. Impressive!
Breakfast: This was the greatest let down in the stay experience. As I was going up the lift, I noticed a sign stating that breakfast was on promotion at 68RMB per person. That could not mean anything good. The breakfast experience was cut to the bone. There were almost no hot cooked food options, except from basics such as eggs, toast, cooked chongqing noodles(plain) and dumplings. There is simply no way that this acceptable as a 5 star hotel breakfast, something that seems to be mentioned by other reviewers.
Other hotel restaurants- Not too sure why I bothered to try out the other hotel restaurants after the disappointing breakfast but, the chinese restaurant served food that was tasty, but the so-called ala-carte buffet was not great. The food options seemed like leftovers from another hotel buffet or something, and I counted a total of 5 pieces of beef when I ordered the dish 'black pepper beef'. Service was good and seemed well-intentioned though, although they seemed puzzled that I was not ordering more-- The food was not good!
Location: Located in Nan'an, I had chosen this hotel as it offered better value for money than its 5 star competitors in JieFangBei or the Conrad. It was also located in front of a Rail Transit station although I only used it once since the trains were crowded and it was quicker to grab a DiDi around. I think the biggest plus regarding its location is the adjacent Wanda Plaza, which had everything from a Sephora, Uniqlo and many other shops. I regretted not visiting it first before hopping on the train.
To summarise, I would recommend a first time visitor to Chongqing to stay in this hotel, but would I visit it again? Perhaps not, as I would like to try out other options in Chongqing that are newer, and can provide better breakfasts.
I recently stayed at the Conrad Chongqing and had a mixed experience. The hotel is new, and the room was impressively spacious and comfortable, equipped with all the amenities one could need. A delightful surprise was the free minibar on the first night, which added a nice touch to my stay.
However, there were a couple of drawbacks. The central window had a locking issue, leading to poor sound insulation. Even on the 47th floor, I could hear honking from the streets below, which disrupted the otherwise peaceful ambiance.
The location is a bit farther from the city center, but it’s a short walk to the metro, making it convenient for exploring. Plus, the exclusive Conrad bear is a charming addition to the experience.
Overall, while the hotel offers a luxurious stay, some improvements in sound insulation would greatly enhance the experience.
Convenient parking, fast check-in, comfortable room, inexpensive price, good environment, clean room, first choice for stay, satisfied. The hotel service is very good, very enthusiastic, and the service attitude is particularly great, especially the front desk ladies Kong Kong and Tian Tian. The front desk will also greet you warmly when you come back at night. The lady Xiaojuzi also took the initiative to help press the elevator. The hotel is very clean and convenient to get in and out. It is very comfortable overall.

My friend and I had an amazing stay at this hotel, I’ve been in China for several years and this is definitely one of the very best I’ve stayed in.
From the get go the staff was excellent, especially Hebe from reception who checked us in and gave both my friend and I an upgrade when it turned out his room had a strong smell of cigarette. She was particularly polite and friendly throughout our stay, and we were impressed with the rest of the staff too.
The rooms look great, as good as they do on the pictures, and they are spacious and comfortable. Mattresses are of western standard.
The location is also excellent, very close to most attractions in the city, and only about 30 minutes from the airport. There is also a Lawson convenience store next door to the hotel, and you can order food deliveries to your door from *******.
Last but not least, the price is very reasonable for the value you get! I would definitely stay there again on future visits to Chongqing.
I stayed at Holiday Inn Suites Chongqing South Bank when I visited Chongqing. The experience was good. The location is convenient and there is everything around. The room is clean and well-equipped, and it was comfortable to stay in. May at the front desk was very considerate, checked in quickly, and patiently recommended fun places around to me.
1. Environmental design: retro Zen, rich Buddhist elements
The overall design of the room is full of retro and Zen, and the details such as wooden furniture, Chinese screens, and Buddha statues make people feel a strong cultural atmosphere. Especially the embellishment of Buddhist elements adds a sense of tranquility and peace to the room, which is very suitable for relaxation.
2. Room layout: two-story design, reasonable functional division
The room adopts a two-story design, the upper floor is the bedroom, and the lower floor is the tea room, and the space utilization rate is very high.
Bedroom: The bed is soft and comfortable, the lighting is good, it is very quiet at night, and the sleep quality is very high.
Tea room: The layout is elegant and the tea sets are complete. It is suitable for a family to sit around and drink tea and chat, and enjoy leisure time.
3. Geographical location: quiet in the bustling, next to the pedestrian street
The hotel is located next to the pedestrian street. You can feel the lively atmosphere of the city when you go out, but the room is very quiet and is completely unaffected by the outside world. You can also see the ancient stage opposite when you open the window. You can hear the sound of guzheng and opera singing without going out in the morning, as if you have traveled back to ancient times, which has a unique charm.
4. Suitable for family outings: spacious space, unique experience
The room is spacious enough for family stay. The two-story design allows everyone to have independent activity space, and the tea room provides an excellent place for family interaction. The retro environment and unique experience also make children feel novel, and adults can find inner peace here.
5. Service experience: considerate and thoughtful
The hotel staff has a very good service attitude. When checking in, they introduced the characteristics of the room and the surrounding environment in detail, and prepared welcome refreshments for us. The details are full of care.
This time I stayed in this hotel, and the experience was great! The front desk staff was warm and thoughtful. Not only did they quickly check me in, they also introduced the hotel facilities and surrounding attractions.
I was also very satisfied with the facilities in the room. The bed was soft and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and tidy. Overall, this hotel is impeccable in terms of service and facilities. I strongly recommend it to all friends!
A clean and quiet place to stay in Chongqing. It's located above a shopping mall and the entrance is next to the Starbucks at exit 2 of the metro station.
The reception is on the 19th floor and while, the person didn't speak english, checkin was convenient and quick with the help of a translator app by them.
The room is just like the pictures; clean and with two gaming computers. (I didn't use them during my stay, though). Water is provided, and there's a mini fridge (a rarity in China) stocked with drinks and snacks that they replenish for free during your stay.
Depending on which side you're on you'll either face the road or the shopping street. While it can be noisy with the window open during the day and early evening, it quickly quiets down after about 10 in the evening, and I had no trouble sleeping, even though I'm a light sleeper.
I had a great time in Chongqing and would book this place in a heartbeat if I return here.
Was staying at the hotel in May this year but this time round the original 2 rooms that was assigned I am very disappointed that the Aircon was not working well. First time, they said that due to winter and it's all central system controlled so it's like this. They tried to solve the issue by bringing a cooler.. tried and it's totally no use at all. I compared the 2 rooms and my parents room was much warmer than mine so I had no choice but to go down and inform them about it. They did an excellent recovery by changing another room for my parents and they offered a suite for them. The room this time round is very cooling.. much cooler than mine but it's ok mine is still alright. I hope they will look into proper maintenance of the hotel.
Very good experience, this is a new hotel.
There is an underground parking garage, a rich variety of breakfast, clean washing and drying equipment. The twin rooms are all based on the inner side without lighting, and the strange logic of power-free cards. People living in it will also automatically power off.
All in all very good

HHepingsixiangjiaThe room is quite new, no odor, and the service is excellent. The front desk on the first floor was very nice. When I left, it was a little cold, and the front desk gave me a bottle of hot water. It was so considerate when I was on my period! The location is also good. I will book this hotel next time I come to Chongqing!
YYalunsimayouI came to Chongqing specifically to watch Ten Qintian's concert. The hotel's location is relatively close to the Huaxi business district, and there are many restaurants nearby. The price-performance ratio is great! The lady at the front desk and the handsome boss are super nice, and the people of Chongqing are really welcoming. The night view is really so beautiful. Thanks to the boss for recommending the hot pot restaurant. I will stay at Yunyu next time I come to Chongqing.
GGuest UserThis e-sports hotel really exceeded my expectations! The computer configuration is too top, the graphics cards are all 50 series, the memory is high-end, the whole game is silky and not stuck, and the picture quality is full and completely held.
The room was very clean. The keyboard and mouse knew that it was carefully disinfected. There was no greasy feeling and it was super comfortable. The seat is for e-sports. It is not sour after sitting for a long time, and there is no pressure to open the night. The service is also very intimate, calling for water delivery, snacks are particularly fast, the front desk will also take the initiative to ask if you want to adjust the air conditioning temperature, the details are full. The price is really high compared to the configuration and environment, and the price is really high. I will come here next time I open the black.
GGuest UserStayed three times, quite nice! This time it was a standard room. I didn't expect the room to be oversized and very warm! It is also very convenient to get out of the foot. It is super convenient to Jiefangbei, Jiangbei Guanyin Bridge and Xiahaoli. Downstairs is Xiexin, and dining is also a lot of choices. The subway entrance to Chongqing's East Railway Station is located downstairs. It is a suitable hotel for my wife.
GGuest UserThe room is not bad, the environment can also be very comfortable, the overall stay is very comfortable, the front desk service is also very good, it is very convenient to go out, very close to the light rail.
GGuest UserConvenient parking, cheap charges, new decoration of the hotel, great room, high comfort, reasonable price, good service attitude, room facilities are humanized, the windows are large, and the room is transparent. I have to say that the mattress is well chosen, it is really comfortable to sleep, and the bathroom space is large. Soundproofing is good and very quiet at night. The rooms are hygienic, the carpet is soft and comfortable, the hotel is very close to the light rail station, about 100 meters, very close to Jiefangbei, taxi is fast, the price is cheap, there is a small supermarket downstairs, shopping is convenient, the surrounding facilities are mature, and there are many foods. The overall feeling is very good!
