I really appreciated this—after a long day out, the last thing I wanted was to fight through crowds just to get back to my room. That said, once you step out and walk less than 30 seconds to the main street, you’re right back in the heart of the action. There's also a metro station nearby, making it super convenient to get around. **Food** Right outside the building, there’s a line of food stalls and small shops that run from breakfast through late-night supper. (Pro tip: they open early, so breakfast is sorted. And for late-night skewers, I recommend the left-most stall when you're exiting the building—it was my favorite.) The whole stretch is worth exploring, and if you're feeling lazy, food delivery apps can send your order straight to your room. **Service** The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. On my second-last day, I asked for something to weigh my luggage and they provided a small, lightweight scale I could bring up to my room—really thoughtful. Upon check-in, I scanned their WeChat QR code to stay connected (a standard practice in China). They’ve set up auto-replies with all the info you’d need: where the laundry room is, local food recommendations (with addresses), and suggested itineraries with transport directions. Very helpful! And don't worry—WeChat has a built-in translation feature, so everything can be viewed in English. **Room** I was upgraded to a room on the 23rd floor. From walking past other rooms during housekeeping, I suspect mine was actually one of the smaller ones—yet it was still very spacious. (My 27” luggage fit easily with room to spare, if that helps for scale.) The water temperature in the shower stayed constant, which is always a big plus. Also worth mentioning: while the street outside looks pretty standard for Chongqing, once you enter the lobby and walk the corridors, it feels like a different world—modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed. A nice contrast I really enjoyed. **Other Tips** When booking a Didi (ride-hailing app), sometimes the default pickup point is set to the main road. Just double-check the map in the app and adjust accordingly—again, it’s really just a 30-second walk. All in all, I’d absolutely stay here again the next time I’m in Chongqing—and I’m pretty sure I will be!

As a foreign traveler, my stay at MOUNTWELL·Shanqi Executive Suite Hotel (Jiefangbei Hongya Cave Branch) in Chongqing was an absolute delight! Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff at the front desk. They were not only efficient in handling the check - in process but also incredibly helpful, providing me with detailed information about local attractions and delicious food spots in English. The room was a haven of comfort and luxury. The large floor - to - ceiling windows offered an unbeatable view of Chongqing's stunning skyline. At night, the city lights twinkled like stars, creating a magical scene that I couldn't get enough of. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep. Modern amenities such as a Dyson hairdryer added a touch of high - end convenience. The hotel's location is superb. Just a short walk from Jiaochangkou Subway Station, it made getting around the city a breeze. Popular attractions like Jiefangbei and Hongya Cave were easily accessible on foot. Overall, this hotel perfectly combined comfort, convenience, and excellent service. It truly enhanced my experience in Chongqing, and I can't wait to stay here again on my next visit!

The environment of the hotel where I stayed these days is very beautiful, with spacious and bright rooms and complete facilities. The large french window of the room directly loves the spacious and bright. The service of the hotel is very considerate. Tingting, the front desk staff, is very friendly and professional. Living here is very comfortable and very suitable for traveling with friends. Highly recommended!

We recently stayed at the Chongqing Ashan River View Hotel (Jiefangbei Raffles Square Branch), and it was an amazing experience! The service was truly outstanding. Despite the language barrier, the front desk staff were incredibly kind and helpful. One of the lovely ladies even went out of her way to pick us up from the mall, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our room was upgraded to a beautiful river-view duplex, and I have to say it was absolutely stunning. The room was spotless, and the tranquility of the place made for a peaceful and restful stay. There were no disturbances, and I slept like a baby, which is always a huge plus when traveling. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service, beautiful rooms, and great location. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Chongqing!

We have an exceptional experience at Aspera, a boutique hotel. The room is clean and equipped with fixtures of excellent quality including from Dyson and Harmon speaker. The breakfast has very good spread, with excellent coffee and roof-top view. The service staff are all very well trained and motivated with great service culture. Hotel Manager 小夏 leads a young vibrant team with strong competence and professionalism. Hotel even provides complimentary concierge laundry service, and afternoon tea. Hotel location is perfect, 5 mins walk to train station, pedestrian walking street and close to all attractions. Hotel is located on 24th floor within an office block, which is common for all the hotels within the city vicinity. Strongly recommended.

Amazing hotel!!!! It was incredible. Receptionists were very kind, room was perfectly clean and the services included for the price are insane: gym, laundry room, bathtub, amenities and bathrobe.. everything perfect! Will recommend to all our friends in Spain.

Not a very happy experience since the booking indicate a upgrade but we still get assigned the same room type (without non transparent toilet door). And they forgot to give us our afternoon tea ticket :(. Nevertheless, the room is still pretty but not practical. Think for very long what group type is suitable for twin bed with transparent toilet door but failed...so think twice before booking especially for ladies. Other small things like shower and shampoo label not clear (the chinese word to indicate its type is not bigger than 1cm), they mix up push and pull label in bathroom and toilet, the big mirror is near the transparent toilet room and bathroom door etc...hmm heard this design is this hotel group signature. Guess need to extend booking precaution to this whole hotel group.

The room was clean, the location was excellent, and the service was outstanding—especially from Xiao Ai and Xiao Cheng, who assisted us during check-in and took great care of our luggage after check-out. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

The hotel room is clean with good lighting, strong water shower pressure and the room size is quite big. The buffet breakfast spread is very good with many seats available to cater for tour group. The well manner housekeeping staff did perform well in maintaining the room clean. There are many restaurants (a food court), convenience store, bakery, tour companies at the ground floor of the hotel building. There are many taxi queuing at hotel entrance to pick up customer. However, for near distance or heavy traffic road, the taxi driver will advise customer to walk instead. The lift was a bit dim and slow in service at times which is due to sharing with other 10 hotels within the building. A good security control for entering the hotel room, guest can scan the room card and the specified floor number will be displayed. The reception and restaurant is located at 21st floor and front desk staff namely Alan, Penny and Sophia are helpful is providing good customer service when make enquiries. The Linjiangmen Metro line 2 (Exit A2) is just a stone throw away from the hotel entrance which make travelling around Chongqing convenient. The Liberation Monument, Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street and Kuixing Lo is about 100 meters away. Will definitely stay again at this hotel if visit Chongqing in future.

First time in Chongqing and the first impression of this hotel was very positive helpful staff during check-in(sadly I forgot to ask her name!). And explained every little detail and also suggestion on where to visit in Chongqing. The room environment is perfect and the view from the room is really amazing as it's located in 45/F. The traffic is very convenient and we could even walk to some touristic area, eg, Hongyadong etc. The metro station is just downstairs the hotel. A lot of different restaurants, coffee shops, and street food shops. Only maybe one is the look of the carpet, just looked a bit old, otherwise no point to critics.
