Amazing staff fantastic room great food friendly atmosphere beautiful location wow close to great places to visit I. E Buxton and chatsworth house the breakfast was super everything you need was there highly recommend the lamb inn fabulous.

We booked a 1 night stay at this beautiful rustic little gem. From arrival to departure we experienced the most warm and friendly service from every member of staff. Our room was great with a large bathroom with walk in shower. Good quality towels were also provided. The bed was also really comfortable and there was also tea and coffee provisions. Hairdryer, ironing board and iron if needed - just everything you need for a relaxing break away. We had lunch on arrival and dinner later in the evening and both meals were just excellent quality and very reasonably priced - we pre ordered our cooked breakfast for the following morning which was a great idea and there was also a choice of fresh fruit yoghurt and cereals. The Lamb Inn is a perfect stop to break up a South to North trip or if visiting the many beautiful places that the Peak District has to offer. We hope to visit again soon.

Wonderful stay at this unique find. Came about it by accident when looking for somewhere to stay when visiting family in the area. Beautiful room that was like home from home and pub was very cosy with log fires and eclectic array of furniture and ornaments. Very tasty breakfast, we will definitely return. Hosts were very friendly and were very attentive

We enjoyed a two night stay, Monday to Wednesday and ate in the Lamb both evenings. Room 2 was clean, well appointed and comfortable albeit lacking daylight. Nice touches included chocolates, boiled sweets and biscuits. Hair straighteners were also discovered! There is plenty of parking. The few staff we encountered were so friendly and welcoming - nothing was too much trouble. The evening menu was extensive, well priced and featuring pub classics and imaginative starters and mains. Two courses were plenty even for our hearty appetites. Breakfast was ordered the night before offering a choice of ‘full English’ or smoked salmon and scrambled egg. Enough to last all day! The Lamb is situated at Chinley and is very convenient for gems of the Peak District including Chatsworth, Bakewell, Buxton, Castleton and the Snake Pass. In summary, a lovely short break made all the better by the friendly staff and excellent food.

We stay overnight at this lovely old coaching Inn Dinner was delicious Large King Prawn starter and a Ribeye Steak and Pepper sauce and sorbet to finish ( didn’t have enough room for any more food) sorbet was just right to finish off this lovely meal . Husband had the steak too, friends had the Lamb Taginne and Fish dish all dishes came out at the same time . We stay over night in a recently addition to the Inn all 3 rooms were well dressed and walk in showers and bed was very comfy, fresh white sheets and feather pillows. We will definitely come back . Staff were great happy smiley faces . Thanks for a great night , will be back next year .
