One of the best resorts near bangalore. Serene, luxurious, top notch quality & hygiene. The villas are simply awesome. Visited with full family and stayed at their biggest villa called the residence. It had a pool, jacuzzi, bath tub, dining room, living room, 2 beautifully designed huge rooms and spacious bathrooms. What makes Serai special is not just the luxurious stay but also the passionate and lovely people that work there. Mr Gagan, Mr Pradeep, Mr Wilfred all ensured our stay and food were perfect. Cannot recollect some more names but all the people there were amazingly hospitable. They truly made our time there memorable. Miss Suma at the play area ensured my kid had a lot of fun. She taught her some lovely craft and engaged her in fun games. Me and my husband could spend time playing snooker while she engaged our kid in all fun activities in a safe space. Very sweet lady with a sweet smile and completely trustworthy. Great place & lovely staff. Would highly recommend to all.

The property is located in a calm and serene space. Location wise pretty reachable, also feels away from town when inside, away from the hustle and bustle. Also the tree plantations done by them & coffee growing tour is also a highlight to the property. Don’t miss the story from baba budan to present scenario of coffee business in the south. Special mention to Shiva and Pradeep the naturalist’ to cordinate smoothly and taking care of the tour so seamlessly. Thank you Serai team, will visit again very soon.

The Serai is an immaculate property situated on a beautiful coffee plantation. The hotel is surrounded by greenery and the sounds of the birds are extraordinary. Each room is clean, spacious, and full of amenities like a large bathtub and great shower. You will feel like you've been transported to your own relaxing world apart from the hustle and bustle you likely just traveled from. However, what really makes The Serai special is its staff. Gagan Meet, the head of operations, frequently checked in with our party to make sure every part of our stay was top-tier. When someone in our party fell ill, he and another staff member oversaw her transportation to the hospital and after-care at the resort. The chef, Anil Kumar, didn't just make amazing meals but at every meal he came out of the kitchen to help craft dishes for someone with an allergy in our group. There are too many staffers to list by name but they all excelled at creating a wonderful experience. We cannot wait to return.

We had a lovely time at the Serai! The staff, the services, the amenities and the complete experience was outstanding! While the family was able enjoy the offerings of the resort, I fell quite ill during my stay. Gagan Meet the head of Operations took a personal interest and his timely help and decision to seek medical help really helped me recover quickly. Gagan is an asset to the company. Pradeep, another staff drove me to the hospital and stayed the entire time and brought me back after ensuring that proper medical attention was provided. Finally, the chef Anil Kumar took extra care and customized the food to address a severe nut allergy for one of the persons in our group. This kind of personalized care is extraordinary and unheard of. We will definitely return when we visit India next time. Thank you !

The villas of Serai are extremely spacious and the entire surrounding is very peaceful. The entire staff of Serai, Chikmagalur led by Mr Gagan were exceptionally helpful in making our stay comfortable and memorable. Chef Anil Kumar was extremely accomodative of our requests for customization of certain dishes. His palak paneer was just amazing!!

Staff at Serai and their attitude towards guest was excellent . Humble and courteous always ready to help and make the stay memorable . Gagan from Restaurant and Sumant in management were excellent to interact and made our stay comfortable and homelike . Pradeep who educated us on the property and coffee plantations and Suma who engaged children at kids area were so involved and engaged ,kids had a lovely time learning and playing .House keeping staff lead by Mr Gowda kept room in best shape for us to enjoy . Thanks to entire Serai Staff . Hope to see you soon sometime 🙏

The Serai came as a recommendation from a local friend, and as an American who's been around the world, the Serai is the most exceptional and memorable resort I've been to. Of course there's the expected perks like abundant space to relax, the grounds being a beautiful balance of nature + comfort, and amazing food, but what sets the Serai apart is the service. Everyone from the management, to the massage staff, to the waiters, to the cleaners, etc. were so genuinely happy and kind. They even have a naturalist who's been on staff for 15+ years who provided super knowledgable tours of the grounds and bird watching. I could shoutout everyone we interacted with, but an amazing example is Das on the waitstaff, he's such a kind young *** who made it his mission to care for us and made dining feel like home. I cannot recommend staying at The Serai enough, definitely worth the detour to Chikmagalur by itself.

Till date, the best experience in any resort for me. The feel, the plushness, the hospitality- everything was top notch. I remember Mr. Shivaraj who did out of the box things to make the trip memorable. Also, Mr. Pradeep’s coffee plantation tour with lots of GKs was nice. I can say people of Chikmagalur are really gem.

Very nice property with large sized rooms. The staff is extremely polite and always willing to go an extra bit to help. We booked the terrace villa which is a duplex. It’s a reverse duplex, as in enter the room where the main bedroom and massive bathroom is attached. Climb down to a nice TV /family room with nice lounge seating. A 2nd toilet below is super convenient. A private small pool attached at the lower level.
