hotel is very old, but rooms are very big. so worth it, trust me... living in such a big room have its own perks. little far from old city, but walkable. not may shops nearby. food options are limited for vegitarians. wifi sucks btw.
oh ya... there were lots of mosquitoes in the common area and swimming pool washrooms.. that needs to be taken care of.

The hotel exceeded expectations, with a nicely laid out lobby and helpful front desk staff. Lies somewhere between a more name-brand hotel and a more budget option, but closer to the former where it counts. The pool was quite nice and clean, with plenty of chairs for sunbathing. You will need to walk a bit to the old city, though on the plus side you avoid the crowds there.

Old hotel with AWFUL sound isolation. I didn't have even one calm night. With ceramic flooring in the rooms all the furniture (especially chairs) do not have softeners on the chair legs.
So imagine that you would hear the scratching all day and night long from all of your neighbors. Since the price of the hotel is very reasonable there will be mostly not quite audience who shout and speak in the corridors. So you can "enjoy" all the dramas or joys that will be happening between families and friends.
Sad that the management of such a chain of hotels like Mercure is so INDIFFERENT to maintenance of this hotel. I would never want to come back to this kind of facilities

Hotel was ok. Spacious rooms if the furniture was dated and had clearly seen better days. Had to fight the staff for bath towels. Also may be too many organised tours pass through there. They were often crowding around the reception area and were disruptive when clearly things could have been organised better (and more considerately of other guests). The organised tours perhaps being the reason for the bath towel shortage. Guessing due to lack of planning or foresight by management. Felt sorry for the cleaning staff as they were working long hours (hope they got over time pay). Because of this, when we returned to Chiang Mai a few days later, we purposely chose another hotel.

this is a really great value hotel, with super comfy beds, quiet rooms and excellent service. they were very kind to also book a local taxi for me upon departure. I'd stay here again for sure!

The hotel staff are super polite,friendly and very helpful.My room was upgraded upon my arrival ,a lovely suprise.Breakfast is really good value for money.Rooms are beautifully serviced and fresh towels provided daily.I would recommend for solo female travellers as very secure and transport safe and easy to use to and from the hotel.All tours easily arranged by staff and they have a shuttle service to all night markets and food streets.Excellent all round. Would definitely recommend .

Old but very clean and cozy hotel big spacious room with a supermarket beside . Staff are friendly and kind and willing to help out . Parking are big and spacious too . Location I’m not too sure because only stay for a day and didn’t explore much of the surrounding . Will try visit this hotel again as the price is much lower than most hotel in the surrounding places and they provide welcome drink at the counter too .

Good hotel with city center location. Nearby supermarket and everything. The room is big and comfortable.
Ps. Not the prime location but have hidden bar (Hyde) nearby hotel. Should check it out.
