This was our first visit to this hotel and we were impressed with the cleanliness and comfy bed., as the cost was so reasonably. The only negitive during our stay was the creaky floorboards. The staff were friendly and went the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our stay. As this is a Greene King , we were also offered a discount on all our meals in the resturant. Would definitely revisit if returning to Chester

Had a lovely meal here with friends, we met for drinks and food on a Saturday afternoon. It was busy but nice atmosphere, we enjoyed some excellent food and great service from all the staff, especially Megan G who served our drinks. Recommended!

I visit Chester fairly often. I popped into this hotel which also has a bar area. Very nice surroundings & one of the staff at the bar Meg G was very friendly with me. I would recommend this as a great place to stop for a drink and some food. I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Staff were a laugh, not quite as funny as me. Made me a poached with a bit of persuasion. About it to eat it now, looks sound though. Butter was abit cold and ruined me mates toast, which we later found out was mine, Few minor hiccups, but I’d defo come back… tell all ya mates to get down here. Mark will whip you up summin out back. 10/10 pineapple juice, best about Elaine’s defo never seein her pen again 😂 Oaklands hotel, Doin bits 🫡

Probably the best hungry horse/ Greene king I have visited. Staff attentive, very clean, check backs on food were done. Absolutely lovely service from the moment we walked in. Well done to the team. I’ll definitely be back. The pub itself was so clean and you could tell things were kept on top of.

Went for lunch with my 2 children during may half term and I have to say, service food and the staff were amazing! We had a lovely time sat in the beer garden, Elaine and Adam were very friendly and attentive and the food was delicious and fairly priced. I would return for sure!

Went the Oakland's for a family meal with our young baby. Food was great, service was excellent especially the manager Adam Nicholson who went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back! 5****

One of our fav locals.. Good selection of food & cocktails, fab little outdoor bit.. & Adam (ginge) is a top lad, always attentive to the customers, great customer service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ would recommend to others. Thanks Adam see you again soon.

We went for drinks last night and met , can I say best service we've had in a while! Adam was so helpful and could not do anymore for us and to top it off, he is hilarious! We giggled all night and had the best time! No one has banter anymore and we really appreciated it and he absolutely made our night! Thank you Adam ☺️
