Murphy is located in southwestern North Carolina, approximately halfway between Atlanta, Georgia and Knoxville, Tennessee. It's a short 10 minute drive (5 mi) to the River Walk and historic downtown Murphy, where you'll find shops, restaurants, movie theater, and more. Day trip to rafting at the Ocoee (35 mi) or Nantahala (40 mi). Plan a day at Lake Chatuge (18 mi), shop for treasures at Decker's Flea Market (10 mi) or visit the John Campbell Folk School (4 mi). Discover nearby waterfalls, or visit the top of Bell Mountain or Brasstown Bald.
