We were in town to drive the Skyway and decided very last minute to stay the night. We were fortunate enough to get the very last vacancy available at Rivers Edge Treehouse Resort. The check-in is self service and super simple. The room was just as lovely as pictured online and SUPER clean. There’s a large TV, sofa/futon, dining table, mini coffee pot, microwave and empty fridge free to use. The king size bed had a Tempur-pedic mattress and very nice linens. There were plenty of towels, delightfully scented toiletries and the water pressure was excellent. A lovely deck with string lights and a gas grill available. Two trees grow right up through the deck and outside overhang! There is a lighted footpath to the river bank and an area for a campfire, horseshoes & cornhole and a glider bench. It was so beautiful. The only inconvenience was that there was only two medium sized bags of decaf ground coffee (no tea option) with no scoop or instructions on how much to add to the mini sized pot, and no bottles of water to use. The house is on, what smelled to be well water, with a noticeable sulphuric smell, so fresh water for coffee would’ve been appreciated. So between the water and having to guess at how much decaf only grounds to use, coffee was a bust but that’s pretty minor. It would be nice if they had a Keurig and pods. Anyhow, we really look forward to visiting again in the fall. I’ve already recommended it to a family member traveling to the area soon. As a side note the night we stayed there was a tornado watch and a strong storm… The house had movement but we felt very safe - these houses are solid! If you go remember to bring a phone charging block for your cord as we couldn’t find any USB connection, bring snacks or groceries, fresh drinking water and maybe your own ground coffee (unless you prefer decaf). I look forward to my next visit!
