Called in for drinks on a sunny bank holiday and sat in their garden with them. Nicely decorated, friendly staff, clean loos, and ample car park on site. Lovely garden at the front to enjoy watching the world go by, also picnic tables and a sheltered area off the car park. We were just driving through and stopped spontaneously, but glad we did, a great find!

After a tough week me and the wife booked a night away. It's a beautiful part of the the county to visit. The hotel is amazing locals friendly and staff and Leanne are brilliant. Had drinks and food and then relaxed in the amazing room a bed big enough to fit the whole family 🤣. Breakfast ya Won't find better. Will 100% return was exactly what was needed. Thank you Neil

Accommodation and food excellent We enjoyed our recent stay here. The room was excellent with a spotless new bathroom and comfortable bed. Better pillows would have been nice but not a problem for a short stay. The food was very good but the service rather slow. We weren't in any hurry but 30-40 minutes to produce breakfast after ordering seemed a bit excessive. Staff were all very friendly and helpful so positive overall.

Lovely Stayed in River Till room, really spacious and comfortable. The bathroom had a separate claw foot bath which was wonderful after long days of walking. Only small complaint was that there was no shelving etc in the bathroom to store toiletries. We booked evening meals each night and they were delicious and generous portions. Breakfasts were nice, but seemed a bit hit and miss with regard to offer of fruit juice, tops ups of tea/coffee and the cooking of poached egg, so tried fried egg the next day which was fine but day after the fried egg wasn’t cooked fully. Having said this, staff were lovely and friendly and we would stay again.

Wow! Genuinely the best Sunday roast I have ever eaten! I counted 15 items of meat, veg or condiment and all cooked to perfection and presented beautifully! Probably the best Yorkshire pudding I've eaten as well! Excellent customer service too - highly recommended!

A very pleasant weekend in a comfortable spacious room. Plenty of hot water all day and large walk in shower in the en-suite bathroom. Food was superb both at dinner time and breakfast. Would definitely return and recommend a stay. There's easy access to the delights of coastal and rural Northumberland via road. A little post office / shop on the corner as well.

Generally excellent The pub hotel has been modernised. Room was very smart. Bathroom spacious and modern. Food was excellent. Only area of improvement would be to start breakfast earlier - 8.30 is too late!
