A good place to stay and not too far from the autoroute. It was good to see that locals came in to have dinner in the hotel restaurant - must be the best place in town.

Le Grand Hotel was an excellent choice for our overnight stay. From our arrival to our departure the staff were friendly and very helpful. Restaurant for dinner and breakfast was super and the choices for both excellent. A little gem in the Logis register.

We were passing through on our way to the Dordogne area of France & this Hotel ticked boxes for locality , price etc. in the centre of the Town . Easy parking opposite the Hotel . The room was large, quite basic but the bed was comfortable & the Bathroom modern & very clean . We dined in the restaurant that evening & the food was quite good. Breakfast was served buffet style & offered a good choice. Certainly an ideal place for a stop on your journey .

Looks a bit dated but, it’s full of character and the restaurant is excellent. Breakfast average and not as hot as we would expect. Our stay was in a 2nd floor room up the spiral stairs and I’m afraid no one was available or offered to take our cases up the stairs, no lift. We are 70+ and did not go down well! The room was large but Spartan, the beds comfortable and cosy. No curtains so rather light in June! Available restaurants in this town are few and far between but we would recommend you eat here. Nice specials and some excellent presentation. All in all we would return.

We had a very enjoyable stop over on 7 September - warm welcome, excellent food and well situated for access to the A28 close to Tours. The hotel team are both welcoming and communicative and the building and decor very charaterful. The town and surrounding countryside are delightful annd the town has all the facilities you might need including a supermarket and fuel.

This was our third stop at the hotel. Welcome and help excellent and an added special item - the hotel obtained a case of wine for me - tasted in their restaurant and requested on our previous visit. Dinner really excellent.

As we are an older couple it would have been helpful to have help with our luggage Luckily a member of staff saw us and helped when we arrived but there was no help down the spiral stairs on departure No one on reception on arrival only a letter with key Everything else was wonderful

We stayed at this hotel overnight on our way back to England. The welcome and service were excellent. We had a most enjoyable dinner - the chef's cuisine was creative and delicious. One negative point about breakfast - self-service with a coffee machine not allowing control of the coffee-milk mix and dispensing too small quantities necessitating several visits. Otherwise, the breakfast was excellent. We shall certainly visit the hotel again.

Overnight stay while travelling back to the UK. The hotel is truly dog friendly, always nice when they make a fuss of your pet and provide water while we ate in the restaurant. Car parking is right outside in a public car park (free after 7pm). Staff were friendly and the food in the restaurant was very nice. Will aim to stop off again soon which is always a good recommendation.
