Raccoon Lodge (part of Coops Creek Cabins) is a comfortable 300 square foot cabin nestled in a cozy, wooded hollow on Coops Creek. We are adjacent to the Historic Dunlap Coke Ovens Park, and only one mile from the center of town - giving our visitors a quaint, secluded accommodation with the convenience of staying in town. Centrally located, visitors can enjoy day trips to Chattanooga, Crossville, McMinnville, Jasper, Murfreeboro, Woodbury, etc. (This includes Fall Creek Falls State Park and Cumberland Mountain State Park.)Hike the nearby trails, check out the many local restaurants and shops, take day trips to many tourist attractions, or just hang out in this cozy cabin and relax all day.Raccoon Lodge has all the comforts of home: a snug loft bedroom (accessed by a ladder), a comfortable sofa bed with a memory foam mattress and optional air mattress, a back deck overlooking Coops Creek, a firepit, a small kitchen with all the basics provided for cooking simple meals, a full bathroom with a stand up shower, central heat and air, an electric fireplace, direct access to the Coke Ovens Park and Museum including hiking trails, plus much more. The Quail House is a newly renovated 1970’s A-Frame cabin on the Cumberland Plateau near Fall Creek Falls State Park. Our cozy cabin has one bedroom with a queen bed and 1.5 bathrooms. The space is decorated with every detail in mind giving you a modern feel while keeping the vintage charm. Enjoy downtown Dunlap and all that the area has to offer. The area is filled with shopping, restaurants, hang gliding, hiking, waterfalls, multiple state parks, kayaking, fishing and more!This beautiful a-frame cabin is 15 minutes from downtown Dunlap, 30 minutes from Fall Creek Falls State Park and 55 minutes from Chattanooga. The house is surrounded with many of different places and activities including waterfalls, hiking, shopping, hang gliding and many more! With all the things this area has to offer it makes it the perfect mountain getaway. The Quail House is an A-Frame cabin with an upstairs loft, which has a queen bed. The loft also has a half bath and a record player with hand picked records straight from our personal collection for your enjoyment. The living room has a flat screen smart tv with Netflix or any other streaming service that you may have. The house does have wifi and a desk space making it a perfect spot to catch up on some work if needed! We also have tons of board games and books to keep you entertained during your stay. There is a full kitchen with a 4 person dining area. The kitchen has a microwave, toaster, Keurig, olive oil, salt and pepper. It also has a full dish set, pots, pans and all of the essential utensils. The kitchen leads to a large back deck with patio chairs for relaxing. If you are looking for any particular thing to do during your stay I would love to provide you with recommendations for things to do and adventures to enjoy.Some other things to keep in mind: -We are located in a some what rural area where you might not have any cell reception. We recommend stepping on the front or back porch to get service if needed. We do provide wifi though! - Our driveway is at a downward slant and has fresh gravel. If you decided to pull in please pull out slow so you do not get stuck. If you do not feel comfortable pulling in, there is plenty of room to park at the top of the driveway. -The stairs leading to the bedroom are not normal stairs. It is not a ladder but are steeper than your average stair case. We have included multiple photos of the stairs in the listing.
