Antica Torre del Borgo

Antica Torre is an idyllic place to stay. From the superbly comfortable Bancospina room. I had stunning views from the windows of mossy tiled roofs, green Tuscan hills dotted with cypress trees, patches of olive trees, and rustic Italian farmhouses. The table set in front of a window was a lovely place to get some work done. Although I was unwell for a few days, it was hardly a hardship. Sascia was amazingly thoughtful, bringing me a laden breakfast tray each morning, my favourite double-shot cappucinos, and making sure I had everything I needed.

When I happened across Antica Torre del Borgo's website, the idea of staying in a medieval tower was too tempting to resist ! Our hostess and also the owner Sascia ,responded promptly to my email . It was a pleasure to meet the lovely Sascia who was waiting for us when we arrived in a taxi from Siena. She made sure all the details were taken care off for the taxi to be allowed in the village to drop us off at the door. Sascia made us feel welcome immediately, and she went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were comfortable and happy during our entire 3 day stay Having the chance to stay in a medieval tower was so special, and our choice of the Zafferano ( Saffron ) Comfort & Triple Room was perfect !Large windows with great views,spacious with every modern amenity we could need , and a shower with remarkable water pressure ! It was obvious that Sascia had been very thoughtful in planning the renovations. A delicous and bountiful buffet breakfast was set up in a cozy room conveniently across from the Zafferano room. There were sweet and savory choices, fresh fruit , juices, and the largest cornettos we have ever seen. The cappuccino and espresso Sascia made for us were perfect. We definitely felt spoiled with such a relaxing start to each day. We enjoyed the restaurants that were literally next door, across the street or a short 2 minute easy walk. Certaldo Alto is a quiet village known especially because the famous writer Giovanni Boccaccio was born here, Casa di Boccaccio. Palazzo Pretorio, the Museum of Sacred Art, and the Augustinian Convent with the Church of Santi Jacopo and Filippo are all very close to Antica Torre del Borgo. We sre so glad we had the opportunity to meet Sascia and to stay at Antica Torre del Borgo. Alloggio unico per godere a pieno della bellezza di Certaldo alto! Noi abbiamo soggiornato nella camera Biancospino, con vista spettacolare sulle colline del parco della canonica.. si respira un’atmosfera speciale e rilassante! Camera pulita alla perfezione, intima e accogliente, con tutto il necessario è arredata con cura. Colazione ottima con prodotti a buffet ed altri su ordinazione. Sascia è una persona eccezionale, disponibile, premurosa e veramente solare! Ci ha omaggiato di un pacchetto di cantucci deliziosi per il nostro rientro a casa. Per noi un’esperienza meravigliosa! Torneremo ancora da lei all’antica torre del borgo!

Abbiamo recentemente soggiornato presso questa struttura. Accoglienza professionale ma familiare; camera pulitissima con tutti i confort; colazione squisita; location storica indimenticabile. La consigliamo vivamente a chi vuole visitare la Toscana fuori dai soliti circuiti.

Ho pernottato due notti con la mia famiglia, dal 28 al 30 dicembre. La struttura è eccellente, esternamente è accanto al Palazzo del Podestà e ha mantenuto la sua storicità, all'interno è una struttura completamente rinnovata con gusto ed eleganza, con tutte le comodità. La Signora Sciascia è disponibile per soddisfare al meglio gli ospiti; il suo garbo e gentilezza sono veramente apprezzabili.

Ho regalato ai miei zii un soggiorno in questa struttura fantastica…sono stati veramente soddisfatti…camere molto pulite e curate…colazioni abbondanti e super buone .La titolare Sascia persona splendida…gentile e disponibile…consigliatissimo
