Hotel Family Friendly Central Jakarta

I think this should be a new hotel and everything is so new. Staffs are friendly and helpful with their smile at all times. Breakfast spread was amazing and you won't get bored even a 3 or 4 day stays. Many eateries within walking distance around the hotel too.

The hotel's exterior is incredibly luxurious, exuding a low-key elegance upon entering the lobby. The staff greet guests warmly and warmly. The rooms exude a warm atmosphere, the mattresses are comfortably comfortable, and the bathtubs are clean. The staff handle various inquiries exceptionally well. The hotel's dining options were also excellent, adding a lot of color to my trip.

Requested & given a room at level 20 with view of Central Jakarta and Monas square which is the most famous monument of Jakarta. Big clean comfortable room with comfortable firm mattress. Big bath room with separate shower cubicle which is small inside. Strong hot water. The breakfast buffet is amazing - over 200 variety of food (Indonesian, Chinese, Jaoanese, Western, desserts, salad etc) spread over several counter and live cooking stations. The fresh fruits station is stingy and always cut the fruits slowly and gave me birds portion. I always asked for more... Old gym but has reasonable equipment and free weights, next to the pool area - 25m lap coveted pool and 1 outdoor pool packed with kids. There is a Chibese restaurant at ground floor which serves dim sim buffet on weekends Overall nice stay

Ascott Jakarta is in a prime location, offering convenient access to nearby attractions. A few minutes walk to Thamrin City, Grand Indonesia, Plaza Indonesia. The hotel features an old English-style interior, which gives it a classic vibe. I stayed in a two-bedroom suite with a fully equipped kitchen, including a fridge and cooking essentials—perfect for longer stays. Toileteries, towels, slippers are also available in the rooms. This hotel is a pet-friendly, as I saw someone with a puppy during my visit. I hope Ascott did separating rooms specifically for guests with pets. The lobby is on the smaller side, but it’s acceptable since it's not overly crowded. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made the experience even better. Overall, a comfortable and practical choice for both short and extended stays.

Excellent location with exceptional service. Everyone from the person welcoming us  at the entrance upon arrival to the last person who bid us goodbye had done so sincerely with a smile. Will definitely come back to stay!

Hotel building and lobby looked nice enough. Checking in was a breeze. Room hallway looks old and gloomy, reminded me of my dormitory days but with better colours. Bedroom didn't have much space, but was still tolerable. The wallpapers had yellowing/dried leak marks. Washroom was tiny and all the drains (sink & shower) are very slow at draining. And no lock for the washroom. The worst was the lighting, i turned off the lights while sleeping, woken up to a room fully lit with tv on maybe a couple hours later. I thought i might have accidentally pressed a button while sleeping. Turned everything off and went to sleep again, then same thing happened again. In total this happened 3 or 4 times, too tired and sleepy to care. I didn't bother complaining because it happened between the middle of the night to dawn. Even if I did complain the possible solutions would be to send a technician or switch me to a better room, and neither is desirable. I was on a one night business trip with full schedule both days. Breakfast was nice, plenty of options, but the service wasn't so good. When i was showed to my table, the host asked if i wanted coffee or tea, I picked coffee. Went around to take my breakfast, came back to table and coffee wasn't there. Then not long after i started eating, a waiter came by and asked if i wanted coffee or tea, said coffee. 5 minutes later another waiter came by if I wanted coffee or tea..again. Finally got my coffee a good 15mins later, I should've just gotten a cup myself. Asked for sunny side ups, eggs came after i finished my plate, about the same waiting time with coffee and the egg station was empty when I ordered. I'm sorry but I don't think this was a 5-star hotel, and the price wasn't worth it. I believe the problem with light was caused by the room card slot right to turn on the power. Must've gone wrong and failed to detect a card in the slot and shut everything off, then suddenly detected the card again, hence all power and light kept turning back on. Won't be staying there again Hallway picture doesn't look that bad in picture, because my phone decided to make it look nicer by auto-adjusting the light level, much darker in reality

From the moment we arrived at the hotel, the service was absolutely impeccable. We were warmly welcomed at the front desk with a refreshing drink and pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a room overlooking Bandaran. Upon entering our room, we found a thoughtful anniversary surprise waiting for us. One evening, while dining at the hotel restaurant, they delighted us yet again with a special anniversary cake. There wasn’t a single thing I could fault about this hotel—service, location, and ambiance were all perfect. A heartfelt thank you to Jennifer, Shifa, Yani, Palma, and Salvina for their exceptional care throughout our stay!

This time, I won't review the hotel itself, as the whole of Indonesia already knows that this hotel is very beautiful, clean, and perfect. I just want to give a brief review of the service from the staff based on my observations, not as a guest staying there. Oh yes! Before that, for everyone's knowledge, I own a travel agency, and I booked rooms at this hotel for 2 nights for my clients, who are two VIP families from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They stayed in rooms 1701, 1703, 1709, and 1711. It's usual for me to personally accompany VIP clients to their chosen holiday destination, and this time they chose to go to Jakarta and Bandung. Naturally, the Grand Hyatt was their top choice. On the morning of the second day they stayed here, I arrived at the hotel as early as 7:00 am to check if my clients had gone down to the café for breakfast, but upon checking at the front desk, it turned out they were still in their rooms. At this time, I started interacting with one of the café staff members, whose name I forgot to ask. I inquired if there was any possibility of purchasing a drink at the café while waiting for my guests to come down for breakfast. Unfortunately, the staff member said there were no transactions during that time as it was reserved for hotel guests to have breakfast until 10:30 am. Understanding the rules of every hotel, I then asked if there was a place for me to wait. He then led me to a dining table outside the café and offered me a drink. I was very surprised because he offered me a glass of hot latte (I hope the hotel does not take action against him for giving me a free drink 😁). This kind of service can truly win the hearts of customers and greatly increase the likelihood of them returning. Thank you.

Great hospitality , great service , all staff very kind, very helpfull .. many kids activity so we don’t need go outside and enjoying the stay 🥰🥰 Great food and we received so many compliment ❤️❤️ Very recomended hotel for families ❤️❤️
