The woman staffing the front desk when we arrived was spectacularly rude: I don't mean just unfriendly or unhelpful, but downright hostile and accusatory, fro no reason that I could see -- I can't think of anything I did that might have provoked her. This was made worse by the fact that she was training a new staff member at the time, so he got to witness her rudeness and learn that it was acceptable. To be fair, the woman who came on later that day was very friendly and helpful in trying to get our TV set to work (though we ended up having to sort out the problem for ourselves). A second problem was that while the room had the nice kitchenette promised on the website, it had exactly zero in terms of plates, cups, silverware, pots, pans, or any other way to use the kitchen. We were fortunate to have a few things in the car we could use as containers in the microwave, but otherwise we were unable to cook for ourselves as planned. The bed was moderately comfortable, and the building is more solidly constructed than most cheap hotels, so there wasn't too much noise form other rooms. Seating was a problem, though: the banquette seating around the little corner table was so low that the table came up to one's collarbones when one sat down. There was one chair that could be pulled over form the desk and used, but there was no way for a second person to sit at the table and actually do anything like eat or write. Of interest to those using wheelchairs: the handicapped entrance to the building was out of service if you were outside (the key reader didn't work), and there seemed no particular hurry to get it fixed in the three days we were there. I would not stay at this hotel again, primarily because of the blatant rudeness of the front desk clerk, but also because promising a kitchenette and then not equipping it felt like a bait-and-switch deal.
