My family and I recently stayed at Euphoria Barbaross Beach Resort and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. We suffered from severe sickness and diarrhoea, which we believe was due to the poor hygiene and food quality at the resort. Our ordeal began on Saturday, 19th, when my daughter started vomiting, had a headache, and experienced body pains. Although she has now recovered from vomiting, she still has aches and pains. The following day, my wife developed severe diarrhoea and headaches, which required medication from a local pharmacy. By the evening, her symptoms had slightly improved. However, the situation worsened when I began vomiting with shivers and pains in my head and legs around 5 pm on Sunday, 20th. Later, at 1 am on Monday, 21st, my six-year-old son also started vomiting. Despite our poor health, we were denied a late checkout and had to wait until our transfer at 5 pm, feeling extremely unwell. The hygiene standards at the resort were appalling. We encountered dirty halls and staircases, significant limescale and mould in the showers, and strong sewage smells throughout the resort. The pool area was poorly maintained, with broken tiles on the swimming pool floor, which caused my son to cut his toe while paddling. After speaking with other guests, we realised that our room was in better condition compared to theirs, which were even worse. Additionally, the transfer time to the hotel was misrepresented. I specifically chose a resort with a transfer time from Antalya Airport of no longer than 90 minutes due to travelling with a special needs child. However, the transfer took 2 hours and 15 minutes at midnight with no traffic, and 2 hours and 45 minutes on our return journey in traffic. Had I known the actual transfer time, I would never have booked this resort. This entire experience has been extremely distressing and has significantly impacted our holiday. I would not recommend this resort to anyone and urge potential visitors to reconsider their choice.
