The house is in a very run-down state. There is evidence of rainwater ingress in many places, including the dining room. All rooms are shabby and in need of much renovation. In the dining room, where breakfast was served, there were many opened cereal packets; their stale contents indicated considerable age. The kitchen was chaotic and had probably not been thoroughly cleaned for years. Cuisine is rudimentary. My bedroom was ill-equipped and the en-suite very tatty. I was awakened from sleep by the owner on the night before I left to demand payment. She informed me that no payment had been taken when I booked, so I had to pay there and then. Fortunately I was able to do so, but reluctantly, as my stay had been unpleasant. She does not take cards so cash is essential. The owner is over 80 and runs the business alone. She boasted to me that she buys the cheapest food. I believe her.
