Not a lot of choices in Castel di Sangro, but this was a place to enjoy - and recommend. The hotel was located at the top of the town with a lot of history, comfortable rooms, parking and a great view of the valley and mountains. Walking distance to the town centre. Although the reception had limited opening hours we got maps and a lot of useful advice about where to go for sightseeing and great meals. The breakfast was good and the lady responsible was really helpful, too.

Loved this place. Combined modern amenities with the history of being an old laundromat. Very accommodating with directions amenities and service. Delightful pastries for breakfast and a water dispenser for filling your bottle. It is at the top of the hill. Easy steps down to the center of town. It was difficult to find it at first as it is tucked in amidst the houses. The church bells are beautiful. We did not hear them through the night with ear plugs and windows closed

Second time visiting here after 11 years. Still as great as it was back then !! Love it Very clean and rooms are a good size . Very close to the main square where you can find a variety of restaurants etc. Breakfast is very good as well and staff are extremely nice Well worth a visit !!

Huge spacious and beautiful room with roof terrace, great à la carte breakfast (which deserves a real thumbs-up, it's one of the best I ever had - and that includes places outside of Italy - served by very friendly and helpful staff. My motorbike was shown to a box seat right next to the entrance, and couldn't have been any safer. The hotel already points out that the church bell rings every 15 minutes right next door. It didn't bother me and the soundproofing is very effective, but for people who sleep very lightly it could certainly become a problem. Personally, I'm used to this, so I wouldn't mind and it wouldn't wake me. But I thought I should mention it.

We stayed at Il Lavatoio as part of a large group of people attending the SIM Fly fishing and fly tying festival. The staff were super welcoming, friendly and helpful - we felt very well looked after. The building is amazing - a restored village wash-house perched high above the town, with fabulous views of the mountains and the town tumbling below. Of course, that means you get some good exercise walking down and up picturesque steps and narrow roads to get down to the main piazza and restaurants. Only 5-10 minutes going down, and maybe 15 minutes coming up, depending on how quickly you walk and whether you need to stop on the way. The other point to note is that the hotel is right next to a church, and the bells ring out every hour and every fifteen minutes. I found this didn’t disturb me at all, even at night, when everything else was quiet. I really look forward to returning some time.

Al centro di Castel di Sangro c’è questa splendida location dove siamo stati subito dopo il periodo natalizio. La camera pulita, comoda con i titolari Virgilio e Checco molto disponibili. Un saluto particolare alla gentilissima Rita, L addetta alle colazioni. Consigliatiasimo❤️

Il punto di forza è certamente la bellezza della struttura con i lavatoi antichi. Il personale, inoltre, è cortese e disponibile, infatti si è messo a disposizione per accompagnarci dalla stazione dei bus all' albergo e viceversa. Tuttavia numerosi sono i problemi, nell' ordine: 1) Il percorso di scale e salite per raggiungere l'hotel è parecchio faticoso soprattutto per persone di una certa età 2) Al di là degli orari del check-in, nei quali si vedono Checco e Virgilio - e la gentilissima Federica per un paio d'ore - la struttura è deserta 3) Il bar non prevede nessun utilizzo al di fuori della colazione 4) Le macchinette per l'acqua, poste nella hall, fanno sì che si debba salire e scendere dalla stanza di continuo anche solo per bere. Chi ha una famiglia numerosa credo lo trovi piuttosto scomodo, non essendoci neanche un frigo in camera. 5) Pulizia del bagno in camera non particolarmente efficiente. In conclusione, si tratta di un bed & breakfast che vorrebbe essere un hotel, finendo col non essere né l'uno né l'altro.

Bellissimo, dimora storica una volta entrati sei immerso in una tranquillità assoluta, bellissimo il recupero del lavatoio, camere ottime, staff cordiale e disponibile a qualsiasi esigenza. Colazione ottima, Veramente consigliato.

Struttura bella - personale super gentile disponile . A due passi dalle piste . Camera ampia , pulita , cambio lenzuola ogni giorno . Unica piccola pecca la colazione un po’ misera , medesima torta per3 giorni consecutivi ; , Poca scelta per i piatti salati. Se migliorano un po’ la colazione la struttura merita veramente 5 stelle su trip
