Hotel Casa Buenavista - Adults Only

I wrote to the hotel several times before our trip was to start. I got great answers back very quickly. Each email demonstrated their customer service intent. Unfortunately, on the day before we were due to arrive, I got very, very ill and was advised not to travel by my physician. I, of course, cancelled the booking and paid the full reservation amount (as I agreed to do when I made the booking). I turned the loss into my travel insurance company. The insurance company was extremely picky on the documentation they desired, and Casa Buenavista went way out of their way to assist us with our claim. Totally focused on great customer service - probably why the are almost a perfect 10 out of 10 on their ratings. We will definitely vacation there!!!! Highly recommend.

To mirror everything else you've read about this place and the owners, it's straight up amazing. The accommodations were super clean, comfortable and quiet. Can't say enough about how inviting and cool the owners are. We travel a lot and good people find good people, Casa Buenavista is no exception. We stayed in the detached bungalow which is super private and has a nice patio for coffee, watching the birds, reading a book etc. The kitchen has all you'll need and more, banging air conditioner for hot days and a TV for watching Netflix at night. The outdoor shower is dope, with plants, rocks, mood lighting, plenty of hot water too. 5 min to Cabrilla Beach which was our favorite. Samara, which is 15 away, was much busier and a bit of a tourist trap which didn't fit our style. There are 5 or 6 decent restaurants within a couple minutes and a little coffee shop that has pastry's and fresh sweeties in walking distance. Can't beat the location and amenities, would definitely go back for another week long stay to recharge the batteries.

The property was exactly what we were looking for. We went to Puerto (Playa) Carrillo to enjoy the 3km long sparsely visited beach with good surf jumping and the walking it offered. Renting the bungalow meant good privacy and convenience for a restful 8 nights—we were able to make our own breakfasts & lunches, enjoy the outside shower, the king bed and the outside table and chairs. The property includes a pool which is clean & well-maintained. The grounds are beautiful with an assortment of flowers & fauna native to the area (the promotional pictures are accurate). A breakfast for an extra fee is served in the “clubhouse” overlooking the pool. We did avail ourselves of breakfast: it was delicious with a varied menu and generous servings served with a smile. ALL staff are pleasant & professional and willing to do almost anything to make your stay comfortable & memorable. Although we find this area very safe, our security was uppermost in the owner’s mind with a locked car park and a locked key pad to enter the property. This is a family owned-business and the owner’s are well-experienced in client-oriented service; they are on-site and not intrusive in any way. The beach is an easy 350m walk; parking at the beach is available. Local dining options include Villa Bosque, Soda La Plaza & El Colibri all of which we tried & recommend.

This place is perfect! We stayed in room with great balcony and a beautiful cozy green view of the hills. The room is set up with every detail In place. Everything is very clean and well kept. The pool is great, places to sit in the shade , comfortable chairs. I didn’t even want to leave the property. Playa Carrillo is minutes away. Stunning beach. Yummy breakfast. The hosts are lovely! They are very helpful abc responsive. Book it!

We arrived mid-week and only ram into a few other guests. The owners and their family are very helpful and accommodating. We were given a full tour of the grounds and offered breakfast every morning which is completely worth the very fair price. Our room was comfortable, clean the outdoor shower in our king room was beautiful. Bedding was clean, comfortable and up-to-date. The room was cleaned daily. We loved that the location was just far enough away from the main road, but close enough to be at the beach in just a couple minutes. The pools are beautiful and we typically had it to ourselves. There's a full bar and even self serve coolers with drinks, beer and wine you are invited to help yourself to at anytime so long as you make a note on the chalkboard so you're billed accordingly. We loved everything here and will return should we ever return to the area.

Vincent and his family from Germany run this gorgeous gem minutes from the beautiful Playa Carrillo in Sámara. The breakfast is made for you, the pool on site is beautiful with chairs to lounge in, and the individual rooms are beautifully made. The air conditioning works well in the rooms which have very comfortable beds, shampoo, and body wash provided. You get several towels and a fridge in the room too. Gated entry and parking on site. No children makes for a wonderful quiet time in paradise. Only improvement to be made is that the water pressure in our shower was very weak and so I could not adequately clean my hair at all for the three days we stayed. Otherwise great experience!
