Lovely hotel with a fabulous pool….we decided to stay an extra night because we loved the area. The guys played golf and we cycled to a couple wineries. We also ate at Narbona which was relatively good except for my one dish. The hotel has a good gym and River frontage

I am finding it difficult to fairly rate this hotel as I suppose the quality of the stay will highly correlate with how busy it is and what sort of holiday you are looking for. I was there with my adult daughter and when we arrived, the hotel was fairly empty and had a sleepy quality to it. By that I mean that staff was decidedly uninterested in us. We arrived after a longer drive and pulled up to reception, expecting to be greeted and to be shown a parking spot etc. We waited around for a bit and then left the car and went into the reception, where no one even looked up to greet us. We then proceeded to check in - not that easy as no one spoke a word of English. So of course, we are traveling in a Spanish speaking country and we should be more fluent in Spanish, but that being said, this is an international hotel chain (Hyatt) and a little knowledge of English can be expected. We were then not brought to our Apartment (which was quite a bit away and one can`t drive there) but shown the direction where it would be. When we asked what to do about the luggage, they asked us to unload the car ourselves and then someone would take care of it. It all seemed a bit like there were no processes in place. The room was very nice, if a bit dated. This used to be a Four Seasons property and one can see what it would have been like in those days. There was absolutely no information material in the room regarding activities - people generally go to this area to go for wine tastings, horseback, fishing etc etc - all of which the hotel claims to offer. So we went back to reception to ask about information and they said they had none in print but we could also not inquire with them right then and there (due to the language barrier I assume) and we were asked to go back to the room and send our questions via whatsapp. We then received conflicting information whether horseback was in groups or individual and were offered no general information but just replies to what we specifically asked. It turns out all activities are carried out outside of the hotel via local providers. In the end, we decided to get our own information from the internet and book activities ourselves, which worked out fine. After two days more guests arrived and the atmosphere and things suddenly improved, there was service at the pool and the level of service generally picked up. Therefore, to be fair, I think this can be a very nice place if you go as a family with kids (which most guests that had by then arrived seemed to have been) and you don`t go outside of high season. I would not recommend the hotel for couples. You also need to realize that, while this is a resort-style hotel, a lot of the activities are not offered on the property but are outsourced locally.

Nos alojamos solo una noche en pareja y fue una excelente experiencia. Lo mejor: Las instalaciones del hotel y de la habitación son amplias, completas y muy prolijas. En el front desk nos recibieron con mucha amabilidad y, según disponibilidad, ofrecen late check-out hasta las 14 h sin costo. Un gran plus si vas por una escapada de fin de semana. El entorno natural es precioso, con muchas actividades en el bosque y la playa. El gimnasio es moderno y muy agradable. La gastronomía nos encantó: tomamos merienda, cena (había noche de parrilla con precios acordes) y desayuno. Aunque el desayuno no tiene muchísimas opciones, la calidad de lo que ofrecen lo hace un 10. A mejorar: El hotel tiene algunos años y se nota en ciertos detalles de las habitaciones, que podrían modernizarse. Los aires acondicionados generaban cortes de luz frecuentes. El frigobar tiene precios excesivos para Uruguay (una Coca-Cola a USD 8 nos pareció demasiado). La zona de la piscina podría tener más ambientación o calidez en su diseño. Sin dudas volveremos, ya sea en plan pareja o con amigos. Puntuación general: 4/5 • Ubicación: 5/5 • Limpieza: 5/5 • Servicio: 4/5 • Calidad/precio: 3/5 • Gastronomía: 5/5 • Instalaciones: 4/5

Das wunderschöne Video auf der Webseite veranlasste uns dazu, in diesem Hotel unsere zweimonatige Reise durch verschiedene Südamerikanische Länder abzurunden. Leider erwartete uns eine grosse Enttäuschung. Vor langer Zeit muss es wirklich traumhaft gewesen sein. Offensichtlich ging der Businessplan mit dem Verkauf von Grundstücken für den Bau von Villen nicht auf (kein einziges steht), sodass das Geld für die Erhaltung des Resort nicht vorhanden war. Die Anlage präsentiert sich dementsprechend. Sei es der verlotterte Yoga Bungalow, die vertrockneten Reben, die zerschlissenen Sonnenschirme oder die verrottenden Holzstege: alles schreit nach Investition. Das Personal ist demotiviert, was mich vermuten lässt, dass ihr Lohn entsprechend schlecht ist. Es hatte nur wenige Gäste, was dazu führte, dass der Service am Pool nicht existent war. Das einzige, was an ein Luxus Resort erinnerte, waren die Preise im Restaurant sowie diejenigen für Getränke. Ansonsten hat uns Uruguay sehr gefallen.

Escolhemos a melhor suíte do hotel para comemorar o aniversário do Pedro. Metade não funcionava, não tinha energia elétrica. Reclamamos inúmeras vezes sem retorno. Após muito insistir, ofereceram um quarto inferior. Atendimento é lento, não condiz com o nível e preço do hotel. Não recomendo, infelizmente.

Fui a pasar el fin de semana con mi familia, el cual habíamos reservado dos duplex. El hotel es precioso sin dudas aunque lamentablemente le falta mantenimiento. Lo lindo? Sin dudas es que está rodeado de un lindo bosque. Tiene golf, paseos a caballo, barcos al atardecer, pero y el spa? Dicen tener piscina de interior climatizada a “30 grados” pero dónde? A 15 estaba cómo máximo. Terrible Parte restaurante… deja mucho que desear, carísimo, no lo vale. Los mozos cero atentos, tardaban mínimo 1 hora en traerte la comida aún así estando el restaurante vacío. Ni una botella de agua, todo al revés. Para el desayuno podrían mejorar también. Sin dudas, no es lo que esperaba del hotel.
