Nothing short of a delight is how I’d describe our recent visit to Carrenac and La Petite Auberge. Our hosts Gerry and Gerard made us feel at home from the moment we crossed the threshold of their delightful auberge as did their gorgeous rescue hounds Crazy Daisy and Gizmo. Our room was well appointed and we enjoyed a comfortable nights sleep. The dinner and breakfast were beautifully presented, wholesome and delicious. We have no hesitation in recommending this “home from home” experience - such personable hosts are a rare “commodity” these days! Keep up the good work Gerry and Gerard!

Gerard and Gerry are so hospitable and helpful and kind. Their auberge was the perfect base for our four day stay in the eastern Dordogne. The room facing the backyard greenery was so beautiful and airy. We slept like angels in a comfortable bed; at night there is total silence. On two days we rented e-bikes from Gerry and Gerard and explored the exquisite villages of Autoir, Loubressac and Beaulieu and the quiet little roads through the countryside. They made us a lovely meal on the last evening. Altogether, a marvellous stay.

Gorgeous rooms all different. Excellent shower, good bed, good size room - all lovely. Our hosts were also super friendly and knowledgeable about the village and the area. They also took our bags to our rooms which is unheard of!! Would definitely stay here again. See other review on the restaurant.

We had a happy family stay with Gerard. An attractive and spacious bedroom, an excellent home-cooked dinner and, by agreement of us all, the best yoghurt we had ever tasted. Carennac is well worth a visit - a delightful village on the Dordogne.

The Village and the auberge are wonderful and a great welcome awaits for the owners. Lovely guys and interesting menagerie of cats and dogs that are really friendly. Rooms are impeccably decorated and the bed really comfy. Thanks for a great welcome. Hope to visit again.

This small hotel was one of the highlights of our Dordogne hiking tour. We spent 2 nights at this welcoming place with its charming rooms and excellent dinner. The breafasts were fresh and diverse. Here is a charming little bed and breakfast to stay at when visiting the Dordogne region. Well located on the edge of the medieval center it's a super comfortable home. To top it all off their food (dinner and breakfast) is delicious.
