Such a beautiful place to stay. Rooms are beautiful and cozy. Restaurant is in the hotel which offers generous portions of food. A $30 credit is offered with your room which pays for the breakfast/lunch. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Cute bar on premises with live music. Worth the stay.

My husband and I had a wonderful 4 night stay at the Carroll Villa right after Christmas. We were in room 1. The room was very pretty and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Our room was quiet. We will definitely be back for another visit. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The Carroll Villa is central to everything. We were able to park our car and walk to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. We ate breakfast in the Mad Batter every morning. The breakfast was incredible!

My wife and I have stayed here in the past and once again we had a wonderful stay at the Carroll Villa. The room was clean and comfy and we had fun at the Mad Batter for breakfasts and dinners. I would highly recommend this for couples looking for a comfortable place in a great location!

Carroll Villa has become our go-to spot in Cape May. The hospitality at the hotel is excellent; all the staff are very nice, accommodating, and helpful. The building itself is pretty old...I think built in the 1880s. So naturally, there are some nits that you wouldn't see in a more contemporary building. There are areas where the floors definitely lean one way, but I thought it all added to the character of our stay. The parlor was well kept, and it looks like it had been recently painted. Our room overall was nice...perfect size for a couple, and very comfortable considering the weather was pretty cold the weekend we visited. The bathroom appears to be recently renovated, and it had heated tile floors, which is a nice touch in the cold weather!! The bed was comfortable, and neither of us had any issues getting a decent sleep. Having the Mad Batter restaurant attached to the hotel is a nice bonus. The food and service there is excellent; we actually ate there three times during our stay. I'd definitely recommend this place to a friend and would certainly return for another visit.

Best place in Cape May! Excellent accommodations, prime location, excellent service, superb staff, impeccable cleanliness, all-around wonderful experience! The Mad Batter Restaurant and Carroll Villa Hotel is by far my Favorite place to stay in Cape May!

The rooms have been updated but still had that classic charm. Bathroom was large and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast at the Mad Batter was excellent. We ate every morning on the porch. It is easy walking distance to the Washington Street Mall. We have been visiting Cape May for over 50 years, first time at the hotel. We would definitely do again.

We have been here many times over the years and we just love it! This year we brought friends for their first Cape May visit. The amenities are generous like food voucher for breakfast and 30% off dinner entrees. Such a delight. We will be back next February for a Valentines Day celebration!

Everything about the Carroll Villa is simply outstanding. From their meticulous attention to detail to the warm, welcoming atmosphere, every aspect of your stay feels thoughtfully curated. We visit every year—so maybe I’m a bit biased—but there’s a reason we keep coming back. It’s truly a hidden gem in the heart of Cape May.

Great location near all the main shops. Friendly staff, shows special care for every guest. They even hang a welcome sign in the lobby welcoming each party with their name on it. It has very comfortable and nice rooms. Also has good restaurant deals for hotel guests--you can skip wait time and get a discount.
