Hotel Cannobio

The hotel is very well located in a beautiful historic building with a lovely view on the lake and the typical harbor. The staff was very kind and helpful when we arrived as we didn’t know how to get to the hotel by car because it’s pedestrian. We had 2 rooms with balcony and we enjoyed the view all the evening But the confort of the rooms and the service were not what we expected for a 4 stars hotel. There was no air conditioning even if it was the end of May with 25/28 degrees so the rooms were too hot for sleeping. In the morning the receptionist told us that we could open the windows… yes we did but it was still hot and so we could hear the noise from the street behind and from the train on the lakeside. All the night we had the light from the street lights as there was no curtain to stop it and from 5am we woke up because of the daylight in the room. At 6am I moved all the furniture from the balcony into my small room to be able to close the shutters in hope to be able to sleep more. I have to mention that in the evening I enjoyed the TV from the room next door to mine and then the snoring of my neighbors… we can hear everything that happen through the hotel in the rooms. The mattress were too hard and so painful for our backs but that can be ok for others. The cherry on the top of the cake : The breakfast was very disappointing and expensive for the standard quality of the products. In resume, it’s a 3 stars confort good for one night maximum not a 4 stars. The receptionist the day we leave made feel us not considered. We won’t go back to this place.

We did not stay at the hotel, but went to the restaurant for dinner. The restaurant was recommended by friends. My wife and I were not disappointed - very nice dinner. The service was great, food great, and view of Lago Maggiore was marvelous. We would have dinner, again, when in Cannobio.

Lets start with the positives: The room que s fantastic The view is fabulous The location is the best in town Now the opportunities There is no one in the front desk before 8am que n case you need an early checkout, so you need to do it in the evening. What is easy if they would already tell you when you are checking in. In our bathroom there was an amazing bathtub but bo shower

We have just returned from the most amazingly relaxing week at the Hotel Cannobio. We stayed in a Junior Suite overlooking the lake and it was fantastic. The hotel staff and environment are superb. Our daughter wanted to bring a few friends (all 17) and the hotel arranged for them to stay at their sister hotel a short walk away so they could have some independence. This suited us down to the ground and was the best possible solution. The girls loved their little private beach and own space and we loved the peace and quiet. Only seeing them at supper time at one of the fabulous restaurants in the town. Valentina in particular was outstanding in her organisation. We loved this hotel.

Wir haben einige Tage im Hotel Cannobio verbracht und hatten ein schönes Zimmer, mit kleinen Balkon und direkter Seesicht. Das Bett war leider eine Katastrophe (Matratze hart wie ein Brett und Kissen viel zu klein. Die Dusche jedoch war ein Highlight; Wasserdruck genauso wie er sein muss! Die Zimmerreinigung war sehr speditiv und gründlich. Auch die Damen an der Rezeption waren immer sehr freundlich. Das Frühstücksbuffet war eher dürftig für ein Viersternehotel und die Garage (nicht beim Hotel) für einen SUV doch etwas eng! Alles in allem würde ich dem Hotel gute 3 Sterne geben.

Quel bonheur que ce petit hôtel face au lac et à côté du petit port! Junior suite 603 à tout pour plaire ! Matelas un peu dur mais c'est souvent le cas en Italie ... Jolie décoration personnalisée à chaque chambre, air co, bon produits de courtoisie et Buffet de petit dej parfait ! En été face au lac ... bref " le Bonheur "!
