Silver Sand Holiday Village

On a positive note staff amazing! Nothing too much trouble unfortunately this was the only highlight! First of all arrived in room 101 to a padlock door, on checking room out it needed a total redecorate and a good clean. No mattress proctors. Side light held together with cable ties, 3 clothes hangers, Dark and dingy, headboard manky. The pool was clean however not enough seats for number of guests. Also to get a sun bed was impossible due to guests placing their towels and Sometimes not returning to late in the day! One occasion I walked down to the pool at 0700 and guess what no beds available even though pool wasn’t open until 0800 I did report this to receptionist however just Scruggs his shoulders. Whilst there a breakout of sickness and bad stomach happened this was reported to Tui rep who blamed it on humidity nothing was done to sanitise doors, surfaces etc I did not one cloth does all! Breakfast was good plenty choice also great service from the staff. Bar staff Tom and Elvis lovely people. I would not return.

I will start on a positive. The staff were amazing. Elvis, Bob, Vinnillex, Ravi and Anil gave the best service and the only reason our stay was made better. The grounds and pool area were well kept. The room we were in I could only describe as abysmal ( this was the 2nd room we were in as the first 1 was even worst) The block we were in was called prisioner cell block H by some of the bits! There was no mirror in the bedroom to dry your hair. We had to hire a kettle and fridge that was disgusting The toilet was loose and leaked with mould in the shower cubicle. The light in the bathroom had no bulb and no sockets in there for a shaver etc. No shower gel provided either. We returned from a overnight trip to find dead cockroach. The floors were that bad we walked around and showered in flip flops. There is only a cold tap in the bathroom. The sheets were thread bare and there was no mattress or pillow protector. Although we understood this was India the standards were poor. When we return to Goa I will do better research as I am astounded that Tui recommend this hotel.

Stayed in premier rooms shower didn't work toilet was disgusting had kettle and mugs all were dusty this hotel has gone down have stayed here a few times never again it was filthy it spoilt our holiday don't bother with this hotel pay more for one

Love going here its location is the best place for the beach and restaurants. The staff including everyone down to the room boys are always very helpful special mention to Peter Andre and Darren who go the extra to sort any little problem can’t wait till 6th December when we return

2 star hotel. It is! Check in fine. Room! Front door had sliding bolt and padlock for entrance! Bed changed , springs, balcony nice. Room ok as were toilets. Staff great, breakfast ok, restaurant nice food. Pool ok but need sun loungers .pass

Hotel staff were very helpful, they did all they could to look after us. Hotel was in excellent location, nice and quiet. Room was clean and tidy, lovely bathroom and had air con and a fan. We would stay again. Thank you guys so much, David and Tracey
