Colivault

Just 2 suites and the self contained cottage. Lovely private residence with extensive parkland. The suite had a very spacious lounge room and the bedroom was well appointed and bed was very comfortable. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, happy to chat but not intrusive. We would definitely recommend to friends. Also close to the town / supermarket but also secluded and totally quiet.

Colivault is a beautiful property close to Blois and many of the Chateaux's in the area. Richard and his wife Sophie made our visit very memorable. Richard was very helpful in recommending outstanding restaurants and history of their property and surrounding area. The breakfasts were magnificent! We stayed in Le Petit Colivault which is so charming and everything is pristine. Highly recommend. This is a special place that is very personal.

Wonderful place for a holiday in the Loire Valley! Run by amazing people - they make you feel right at home — a beautiful property ! I went there to celebrate a wedding with friends and I highly recommend a (long) stay in Colivault ! The breakfast is delicious too!!

My husband and I stayed three nights at this wonderful house in May 2023. Our bedroom was on the main floor and it was so comfortable and spacious. There was an attached living room/parlor area that we also had all to ourselves. Richard, the host, was incredibly accommodating and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We enjoyed meeting Richard's college-age daughter, Emma, as well and learning about the history of Colivault and French culture. Richard made dinner reservations for us at a nearby restaurant that worked out splendidly, and we also joined with Richard and his daughter for dinner one night at the residence. The food was great, and the company and conversation even better. The house is on several acres of property, making for a wonderful place to walk and roam. There are horses, a vineyard, swimming pool, gardens, and various places to sit and relax all around. The house is located in a wonderful area for exploring some of the nearby villages and chateaus. We rented e-bikes on one of our days and had a great time spending the day cycling to a nearby chateau and village. Each morning, Richard prepared us a fresh and delicious breakfast that included eggs from his hens, fresh baked breads and croissants, fresh fruit, yogurt, juices, cheese, and coffee. There was always homemade jams and honey as well. We absolutely loved our time at Colivault and recommend it to those visiting the French countryside / Loire Valley!

J’ai passé un séjour parfait, Richard l’hôte, est aux petits soins et fait que l’on se sent comme à la maison. Le bâtiment et le parc sont superbes et très bien entretenus, ma chambre était charmante, la literie super confortable et la salle de bain était d’une propreté immaculée. J’ai adoré me promener dans le parc, profiter de la piscine à la température parfaite, admirer le potager et je me suis régalée chaque matin avec le petit déjeuner absolument délicieux. Je vous recommande vivement d’y séjourner, pensez á réserver à l’avance, c’est rarement disponible. Merci encore Richard de votre accueil, il me tarde de revenir.

Unser Aufenthalt in Colivault ließ keine Wünsche offen. Die Suite war geschmackvoll und sehr bequem eingerichtet, das Bad riesig. Richard war äußerst hilfsbereit und reservierte uns abends Tische in ausgezeichneten Restaurants der Umgebung . Der Park mit Gemüse- und Obstgarten sowie Pool von Colivault ist weitläufig und sehenswert. Zum hervorragenden Frühstück serviert der Gastgeber Produkte aus eigenem Anbau und teilt auch gerne seine Gartentipps. Ein besonderes Plus ist die Lage nahe Blois und den großen Schlössern der Loire. Wir fühlten uns rundum wohl und haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.
