O7 Nordeste Playa

Our holiday was fantastic! We liked everything: the hotel itself, the room with the sea view, the food (very delicious and a big variety), the helpful staff, and of course the sea. The sea was beautiful: clear water of such an unusual colour - bluish-greenish, a long beach and attractive sculptures near the sea. We would like to thank the hotel for our nice holiday. We're going to recommend this hotel to our friends and relatives.

The hotel was okay, however i wouldn't stay there again. On Arrival the room hadn't been cleaned, floor was filthy covered in sand and clumps of hair and the toilet was also covered with sand. We returned to our room 3 hours on the day we arrived and our room door was wide open....reception had no clue as to whom has entered our room. Room card didn't work on several occasions and had to keep going to reception to sort it, not sometimes it took more than several times for our card to work every time we tried to enter our room which was always very frustrating especially just after it was activated again by reception. My one earring went missing when the cleaner had been in our room, I took one earring out whilst sleeping as it was digging in and put it on the bedside table, just before heading to breakfast when brushing my teeth I noticed it on the bedside table and was going to put it when I had finished, unfortunately I forgot and left the room, only to return to find my earring was missing when they had been in to make the bed. Nothing else on the bed side table had been even moved slightly so I knew it couldn't have been knocked off but thought perhaps if it was knocked off it could be on the floor but still searched the floor and room and it was gone. Reception did ask the cleaner but of course they denied it! The door itself was coming away from the frame and looked a mess and the door could open partially without the card, probably why the card reader didn't work because the door was so broken, this made me feel unsafe from day one knowing someone had been in our room and anybody could easily break in the room by pushing the door open with pressure. Other than that the food was alright, a good variety of foods for lunch and dinner but some dishes were quite salty but only about 4 of them. The staff were all friendly and couldn't fault the staff who all worked extremely hard whom we really did appreciate everything they do. The room would have been nice if it had been cleaned prior to arrival, bedding was clean atleast. Location was perfect. Drinks were hit and miss, the coffee machine coffees were overly sweet without adding sugar and the fruit juices were also extremely sweet but that could be personal preference, beer was good! It it wasn't for my earring going missing, door being broken and someone entering our room with reception not knowing who it was, we would have stayed again. I'm extremely upset about my earring going missing as it was very sentimental and was certainly not cheap, its a real shame. The room was only cleaned once in the four days.

The beds in the hotel were fantastic. The matrasses were great and the pillows too. The airconditioning didn’t work very well but it wasn’t hot yet in May. There were plenty of seats near the pool but we went in may. It wasn’t very busy! The food was good: it was nice and warm, there was enough. After a week we did see everything because there wasn’t a lot of variation. But for a few days is was oké. The Pepsi Max wasn’t Pepsi Max, the orangina and the sprite weren’t great eather. Coffee and tea: awful. The only good drink was the flat water. Bubbly water was awfull too. The location was fantastic: close to the sea, lots of shops and a long boulevard.

Hotel and room lovely and clean. Staff really helpful and very accommodating. Little disappointed with the steps from the pool to the bar but staff will open another door to save using the steps but it means you have to walk through the dining room and use the lobby lift to get to the outside bar Pool cold but it was may. Snacks a little sparse nachos with ketchup!! Didn’t try the hotdogs or ice cream . Hotel in a great location lots of shops bars and really close to the beach

This hotel is absolutely perfect for a short break. We stayed at the end of Sept/beginning of Oct, but I can imagine in the height of the summer season this hotel would be extremely busy and there would not be enough room by the pool or in the bar area. However, the beach, bars and restaurants are a stones throw away, so may not be an issue for you. Enough variety of food for you to easily go a week without having the same meals (if you have chosen the all inclusive option). Rooms are clean, light and comfortable. The only negative comment would be the no smoking on the hotel premises, however I have now learnt that this is something that is normal for a lot of hotels in Spain, so cannot mark the hotel down for this, but something to be aware of.

Spent a week at the Nordeste Playa. It was a good choice. Great central location, near the beach and on the edge of the main strip and really quiet at night. It's an all inclusive hotel, there was enough variation of menu for the week and the quality was good. The bedrooms are spacious and with a large ensuite and a walk in shower. The rooms are refreshed every day and the sheets changed every 2 days. The staff are hardworking and helpful, always with a smile. There are 2 lifts, an indoor and outdoor pool and plenty of room and loungers for sunbathing. Clientele, like most of Majorca, is predominantly German. Not a problem, we're all holidaymakers, just miss the banter in the lift.
