Sol Katmandu Park & Resort

Had the best time at this hotel! Lots of food and drink options, and the hotel is spotless, we always saw someone cleaning! The rooms were a little small and we were surprised to not find a desk or vanity in the room. We booked bed & breakfast and requested to change to all inclusive which was no trouble at all for the reception staff who were all friendly and accommodating. Evening entertainment was always fab for the kids and you were never bored with the park rides although there is always a 10/15 minute queue for these. The beach is less than a 5 minute walk away and is absolutely stunning!! shops right outside the main entrance for snacks & toys for the kids. Pool was always clean and tidy and had no trouble finding loungers daily. Lifeguards were all super friendly too, great with the kids and always tidying up the umbrellas and floats. Will definitely be back.

Great family hotel. We only had breakfast at the hotel, great food and variety. The pool and slide area was good, but since it was beginning of april and the water was cold, my child used it minimally. The other areas of the hotel was absolutely amazing! Lots of turtles and fishes in ponds outside, with a fish feeding vending machine! One of my favorite avtivites during the trip for my 7y. The upside down house was a hit. Probably visited 7-8 times in 2 days. Great softplay area. Very fun 6xD movies. Probably saw 10times different short films. Short walk to the beach. Great food and small shops/supermarket across the street. Good restaurants close by. Ate at the blackbeard restaurant 5min walk, amazing food! Perfect family hotell only downside we experienced was the noise from the hallway. Up/down/neighbour rooms was no sounds. But throu the door into the hallway it felt like there was no door, and some kids came running in the corridor late at night.

Excellent place for families, but I would say if you’ve got younger kids between three and seven if you’ve got older that no I love the mini golf so did my 11 old son the food was okay plenty of selection to be fair the question is would i go back hundred percent? The rooms are small for families? I wish I upgraded to double room with balcony. When I booked the holiday, the rooms were very clean cleaners were around every day. Hotel was spotless. It does get noisy on a Friday and Saturday while bcm nightclub is open between 4 am and sixam but I love noise anyway to sleep. keep up the good work and hopefully we will be back in the future I would definitely recommend it to families. We had the best stay at Sol KATMANDU. Amazing variety of things for kids to do. Food was amazing on the all inclusive Pool was great and lots of sun-loungers. Kids club was so much fun for the little one. Night entertainment for the kids was amazing and not to much, it brought out a lot of confidence in our child.

We stayed for 7 nights all inclusive late may into June, and all I can say is don't doubt it, book it ❤️ I literally cannot fault this hotel. Yes as with all hotels I could offer some constructive criticism but that's based on personal opinion, such as maybe having a more diverse food range as with a family of ASD children, lunch and dinners was very much hit or miss. But that hasn't put us off as there is a convenience store just across the street selling bread Nutella and pot noodles and KFC McDonald's and burger king 10mins away so we were never stuck anyway 😊 The hotel is located very close to all amenities and the strip but I never heard a single noise the 7nights I was there and I'm a night owl sitting out on the balcony to 2am most nights. The staff are very attentive and courteous, the entertainment staff go above and beyond, our daughter had such an amazing time and developed such a bond we just had to give them a tip before we left! The park is amazing, my 2 younger ones loved it so much and I'm pretty sure I was in the upside down house at least 10 times 🤣 so deffo upgrade your package to gold to avail of the choice to go into the attractions as many times as you want. There was always plenty of loungers and during our stay as it wasnt peak season we were able to leave our stuff to go get lunch or go to the park after checking with the lifeguard, he kept an eye on our stuff which was great. Pools are immaculate and pool toilets which I usually find a bit manky was absolutely gleaming. The cleaners are working non stop and nothing is too much trouble ..even coming to turn over my eldest teens room at 7pm because he decided he was having a long lie in 🤣 I really looked forward to the night entertainment and was not disappointed, wowwed so many times... By the 3rd day into our stay we booked again for next year! This will definitely be our go to for the next few years 😁 Other activities that are not part of the package are hair braiding, face painting and there is a stand that sells jewelry and personalized items 🥰 Until next time sol katmandu, thank you for an amazing holiday and the memories! I have been abroad a lot with my family to many different locations but I can honestly say this is the best hotel we have stayed at! The moment we walked through the gates we knew it would be fantastic. The quirky decor & terrapin enclosure as soon as you get in. Theres pellets (€1) you can feed the fish & terrapins. A statue for selfies at the front. When you walk in there are hot air balloons hanging from the celin, a submarine type of theme for the reception with displays. There is just so much to do. The water park, soft play, 4d cinema and interactive games, the upside down house. They have a big stage and kids disco every evening with sol katmandu mascots greeting the kids and having photos. After the disco there is a different type of entertainment. Friday night was a foam party that the kids loved. Aswell as all this there is a option to upgrade to laser quest & crazy golf. There are 2 pools that is good for if you have smaller children and I did see a few games take place with entertainment staff. The snack bar is help yourself and has a good selection altho it is almost the same each day. The food was fabulous. There was a section for kids with the usual nuggets, chips, pasta etc and a theme every day. There are 2 fresh counters. The one is create your own omlett at breakfast, that tasted fab. Desert has a good variety from cakes, make your own ice creams, doughnuts, fruits etc. You can sit inside or outside but we loved outside. Lots of pretty birds that the kids insisted feeding. We were lucky enough to see terrapins strolling the food court on 3 occasions 😆 the staff are lovely and let the kids see before carefully placing back in the pond. Aswell as all of this there are pool tables, trampolines, kids club with a very active time table. So much to do! I would recommend going to the shop near aldi (5 min walk) for holiday bits, inflatables, spades etc as uts a really good price. Free swim pants are available near the pool aswell, I think thats a great touch. The hotel has a few inflatables for younger children that anyone can use. Be awear no inflatables in the pool that are 60cm or longer so dont waste money on lidos or crocodiles. The beach is very close and a nice beach aswell. I walked along at 7.30 most mornings and locals clean it every morning. The bars are nice too. We loved the one called tom browns. The prices were the best we found and good menu. There is also a softplay, bouncy castle, arcade machines & launderette at the back. Softplay & castle are free of charge. The staff are welcoming & friendly too. Especially the cleaners. The only thing I would change would be to offer fizzy drinks in the morning. Im not keen on juices or wine/ larger at breakfast but a fanga would have been nice. The cups for the hot drinks are tiny too. I know thats the norm for abroad but a good size cup would have been great. You also get 1 plastic cup per person for your stay.
