The accommodation needs updating and needs TLC until they get round to it. It is very clean, staff are friendly and happy to help. where we had fridge and kettle need to have double plug, they was quick and gave me a extension lead to use both together. it a shame bar inside not opened as we had windy nights and we was sat pool bar with patio heaters on which i didnt do. Lovely that in your accommodation you are told about put your towels down around the pool, that they get removed if not being used so no blocking sunbeds. could do with some paperwork for you to keep on your visit on what time you choice for meals and also what time snacks available on the all inclusive. It a lovely touch that you get a towel for you to use at the pool i not been to hotel that gives you them.. Food is good for a 3star only thing would be a problem in higher season is only 1 toaster in dining room. I full enjoyed my stay here. I would stay here again.. YOU ALL SHOULD BE PROUD OF YOURSELF XX I know people have put about road outside but the hotel can not be held responsible for this as it down to council..

On 12/21/2024, I checked into the Smy Tahona fuerteventura hotel and was just shocked by the room we were checked into. There was mold on the wall, scraped walls, stains on the floor and dirt. My 15 year old son had to sleep on a couch that didn't fit him, with no bedding. I'm not a picky person and I always travel a lot, but this is the first time I've had such a terrible experience. The reception refused to change the room, even though it was supposed to be a standard suite with a view of the pool, which was not true at all. For the money I paid for this accommodation, I could have had better conditions. I will never come back here and would not recommend it to anyone. And I am sorry that I will spend this Christmas in this terrible hotel.

So on my first night here I read a few reviews whilst I was lay in bed and was absolutely dreading what the stay was going to bring. Just to address some of them: 1. The whole site is absolutely immaculately clean; 2. We found the food lovely at each meal; 3. Our room was in good repair. The bathroom sink was metal so no idea how somebody had a cracked sink; 4. Our shower was more along wet room lines and not over a bath; and 5. I've never once stayed in a hotel where the rooms contain a kitchen area. Now for my opinions, the house keeping staff are honestly high on the list of the nicest people I've ever spoken to! They maintain spectacularly high standards throughout. Nothing was too much trouble for them and everything was done with a smile. The beds were very comfortable though ideally, I'd have been happier if there were spare pillows in the room as I like quite a fluffy pillow. We were in a room with a very good sized seating area, a bedroom and a bathroom. Between those 3 spaces, there were only really 2 'spare' plug sockets. In an ideal world there would be one at each side of the bed and maybe 2 more empty on top of that. They advertise as having a hair dryer in the rooms but they actually mean if you pay a deposit of €2 you can use one. But you must pay in cash. At busy checking in times they have 2 staff members on reception but they both appear to be serving the same person. The dining room and the staff in there is lovely and clean and the staff are polite and professional. It's located centrally to lots of amenities so very handy. The only negative and honestly pretty significant negative, we were in room 223 facing the gym and near the boules area. This means you are NOT going to get a lie in! The gym has huge plate glass windows which open and throughout the day they play very loud 'music' from early doors. I use the term music loosely because it's extremely loud electronic noise with some great music from the 80s with a really loud thudding base line added which sounded exactly like a headache! You can also hear the poolside bar from there but the exhaustion from being woken by the gym means that you can normally sleep through that. However, we both agree that it's the best place we've ever stayed in caleta so definitely worth a visit but bring ear plugs just in case.

Honest review!! Myself and my husband arrived 29/11 - 3/12 short breakaway without the children. The hotel was clean, the food was plentiful and hot, you wouldn’t starve. The only complaint is that we had decent sausages for breakfast on 2 days and then they disappeared. Plenty of sunbeds no reserving. The drinks tokens worked well. Just needed an extra person behind the bar on busy nights and possibly a proper queuing system. Staff worked hard and were very friendly. Pool was clean but cold. I know it’s December! Location was perfect. Rooms could have done with a lick of paint and some air con. But then again it is a 3* hotel and I think it was amazing value for money. See you next year

Pros. Close to town Clean & friendly, my room got cleaned daily. Food nice. Decent size balcony. Staff lovely. Nice rooftop area for sun bathing. Plenty of sunbeds (no one was leaving towels out early). Comfy beds. Living room area comfy. Good decent shower. Cons. No kitchen area, even all inclusive, I've never stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment that doesn't have a kitchen area. Had a kettle on a piece of side board with a very small fridge, not big enough to fit the 2l water bottles in, so was having to go daily to supermarket. Had to wash cup in bathroom sink. No toaster, cutlery, bowls etc as there's no kitchen area. Pool bar food very basic, burgers or hotdogs Travelled 11 times to caleta solo & do spend some mornings on balcony and usually make myself a slice of toast and coffee but couldn't do this at this hotel as no kitchen. Entertainment wasn't great, mostly karaoke at night, bingi twice a week, although around the pool before karaoke starts is lovely and can chat, drink, bring your own cards etc. Just gets loud once karaoke starts. There are a few bits that put me off like having no kitchen area as a solo traveller I do sometimes skip AI breakfast or tea and have this on my balcony but couldn't here, but these are minor things for me. Saying all of this, I probably would stay here again if it came up at a decent price. The proximity to town centre is fantastic. €16 taxi from airport, don't mess around with transfers, all taxis are always outside of airport and you usually don't wait longer than 10-15 minutes for one. Takes around 12 minutes to get to Caleta town centre. Shower was great & strong flow & warm. Plenty of towels provided. Also XL beach towels are provided in the room for around the pool which is brill. You're given a token at check in & this gets you your plastic tumbler for your AI drinks, you can take it back to the bar when done & get your token back each day or if you're going into town, just take tumbler back to bar & they give token back. 1st hotel I've had this at, wasn't ideal as always had to remember to take it back but after a couple days, got use to it. I stayed in room 411 and had sun on balcony from it rising to setting about 5pm so worth emailing the resort & requesting this 1 bed, if you like to spend time on balcony. All in all not a bad hotel. Walk left straight out of the hotel until you reach the rocks/shore line and then walk right all along the path until you come to the harbour (15 min steady walk) Lovely nice walk, chipmunks by the rocks are so cute. The harbour is lovely. Ice cream, coffee, beer. Seals, fish, plenty to see & really relaxed atmosphere down there.
