Beautiful hotel next to the river. Great staff that tended to our every need. Great restaurant on the property. We stayed 2 nights, 1 before and 1 after Machu Picchu. Even leaving at 6:10 am for the train, they made us breakfast bags to go. Enjoyed the relaxing views, the weather and even the flock of parrots that visited us. Highly recommended, beautiful grounds, great staff.

So happy we stayed here. Great food and cocktails right next to the majestic Sacred River. There’s also a bonfire so we could stargaze, sip pisco sours and listen to the river. The hotel manager, Philippe, is not just a great host but an amazing fixer - he guided us through more than a few logistical challenges during our trip. Gracias, Philippe!

Hotel Amak is a really, really special place. It has amazing views, incredible staff, and delicious food. The rooms are simple but if you’re in the Aacred Vallwy, you’re not there to stay in your room. The hotel has a great spa and the massages there are awesome, especially after flying for 15 hours to get there. Philippe is an indispensable host who takes care of your every need and will make sure your stay there is one to be remembered. Oh and about the views, every morning you’ll go to the restaurant and be greeted by the most mesmerizing view of the mountains as the river flows right below you. If you can’t be happy after starting your day that way, you have bigger problems than your hotel. If you want something memorable and a place to call home base while you explore the towns of the Sacred Valley, Hotel Amak is your spot.

Was booked at Amak as part of a tour for 2 nights. Had a lower level room with a walkout to the river - very beautiful! Room was probably once great but mold (black!??) in the bathroom made sleeping and breathing difficult. No wonder they have mold - it is almost impossible to shower without flooding the room since the tub is some weird shape that causes water to run OUT instead of in. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious but tiny and $$$$

We have been a group of families and friends 21 people in total. We only stayed for one night but wished to stay longer. Amak is a very nice place in a beautiful location. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant with river view a beautiful place. We spent a lovely evening in front of the fire place with a glass of wine & food. Hope we will be back one day.

We loved staying at Amak Lodge. My husband and I stayed in a suite here for 6 nights and really enjoyed it. The shower was the best. We really liked the simple breakfast and the dinners eaten by the roaring river. They were wonderful. Kudos to Phillip the manager who was so friendly and accommodating. And a big woot woot to Daysy the Chef for the wonderful meals we ate for dinner. They were so tasty and presented well. Some suggestions would be an extra table to put our stuff on and maybe access to hot water in the room. Otherwise it was perfect.

Super place along the river ! Philipp was very helpful and polite ! Clean and spacious! Overall great environment….! The restaurant served quality food and the staff were great! Recommended to stay the night before Ollantaytambo a few km outside Urubamba.

Stayed with my family during a Haku mountain biking tour. Beautiful location along the river. Quiet, staff was wonderful and would absolutely recommend. Restaurant on site was another high point of our trip to Peru. We ate breakfast and dinner for our duration of the stay and never had a bad meal.

The hotel has been the cleanest, most comfortable hotel I've slept in. I normally don’t like sleeping in hotel, but the beds were comfortable the pillows blankets, everything. The staff was really nice and very helpful as well. Yanet, Manilu, and Ruth, even through the language barrier they were very helpful and super nice.
