The Fern Residency Calangute-Baga, Goa

The hotel isn’t great. It’s not very clean and the service was average. It’s full of single men so definately would not recommend for couples or family. Location is ok and the staff were indifferent in my opinion. Nice area but wouldn’t stay here again

Well the hotel rooms are 100% comfortable and had silence and peaceful sleep. Entertainment was there all channels are watchable. Staff so cooperative and informative. Ideal for family. Beach is near by. Calungate and BAGA. Taxis can be find out of the hotel.

At first glance this is a nice looking hotel with good size rooms. I.checked in on 21st November 2024, on arrival albeit a little early we were told our rooms were ready. We got to our room as housekeeping was leaving. We walked past piles of dirty linen left in the corridor ***** with several plates of uneaten food which I presume were from other guests on our floor, these plates of unfinished food were still in the corridor the next day. Our room looked clean but there were no towels and despite asking 3 times it was 4 hours before they made an appearance. I am a bit of a pillow freak and I always l check them out before using them which is just as well. They were absolutely disgusting, all stained and what looked like blood on one of them. I told the front desk this was totally unacceptable and their answer was to send up a non English speaking member of housekeeping staff with a 2nd set of pillowcases to put on top of the ones already on the pillows. I told him no but he did not understand, I had to go down to reception and basically demand new clean pillows which reluctantly they gave me. At the pool here was an electrical cable stretched from one end of the pool to the other side which was held together by electrical tape, not something you want to see next to water. The breakfast was absolutely disgusting and looked totally inedible and this made my mind uo to leave despite still having 3 nights left on my booking. When we packed and went down to check out the manager asked why we were leaving early and I showed him my pictures and he said let me get a cleaning team into your room. This hotel needs a good clean and staff need to be aware of their surroundings and pick things up especially in corridors and especially food trays. I would not recommend anyone to stay here

This hotel in short is misusing the brand name. We as customer take belief on the brand reputation and without enquiring much, we book the services but hotels like this shows the reality. Hotel has many empty rooms but we were kept waiting for 1.5 hours for check in. Post check-in we kept waiting for our luggage to arrive, they kept saying we are sending shortly. At last we had to carry out own bags then they transferred our trolley. Electric kettle was stinking, no hand wash in bathroom, old furniture tables with scratches kept in rooms, and what not. Lastly we had to stop noticing this things and we went out of room so not to spoil our day here. Location is also poor, we just see buildings in the name of garden. I made a huge mistake of going with the brand name. Please do not book this and better to consider other hotels with much better services.

Really nice place for vacation and enjoy your time. Nice breakfast and Resturant. Excellent location access. Staff do as professional in hotel and all kind and helpful. Rooms are clean. Mr Lee was full time behind us till we empty this trip.
