The Square Boutique Hotel

原訂單是帶陽台的小房間，估計是因為衹訂了一天，入住的時候以空調故障為由被換給其他訂單時間更長的住客，臨時給我們調整到隔壁的酒店，給出行帶來一定的不便，整體體驗一般

Kamarnya agak kecil, begitu juga kamar mandinya. Kebisingan lalu lintas sangat mengerikan. Namun, staf menutupi kekurangan hotel. Mereka ramah, penuh perhatian dan tidak bisa melakukan cukup bagi kami. Kami menikmati suasana hotel yang seperti rumah sendiri. Ini bukan apa yang diharapkan seseorang dari 'Hotel butik' Jalan masuk ke hotel, yang sangat kumuh dan kotor, tidak mudah ditemukan karena tidak ada papan petunjuk. Square Boutique Hotel memiliki posisi strategis di pusat pusat kota Kairo untuk pengalaman menginap yang hangat dan menyenangkan. (Jangan lupa penyumbat telinga peredam bising)

These people are extremely deceitful and dishonest. We had booked a room with a balcony facing the square and paid more for it. We had booked through *********** with the "The square boutique hotel" - now they have changed their name to "The square view". Upon arrival they checked us in normally, charged our card and told us that the “deluxe rooms” were located in a different building. We then had to haul our baggages from one building to another (where they didn’t have an elevator). It turned out that they put us in a completely different hotel, where we had to check in again. This new hotel was away from the square and did not have a balcony or an elevator. There was no compensation for this change/downgrade. I would never recommend booking this hotel or dealing with these unscrupulous people.

This hotel is very nice and well kept. It is by the square/main road so the traffic can be heard from the room, however it did not bother us. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They accommodated an extension of one night to our stay and catered for an early breakfast on the day of our departure. The location is very convenient especially to visit the Egyptian museum and to reach the bus/train station.

Apart from good location, this hotel has nothing to offer. Leaking taps with flooded floor, shower not working. We stupidly booked in advance three tours via the hotel, was told that booking them early so they could choose the best guide for us. Unfortunately we had the worst guide who was only after our money! Took us to a shop when arriving Giza pyramid. We were told that no cars could go in, we have to go in by either camel or horse carriages. At the end we paid 150 euros to go in via horse carriages. It was all a lie! We should have insisted him to take us to buy the entrance tickets. The 150 euros probably would be shared among the shop and people involved such as the guide, driver etc. I booked the hotel via ***********. who asked me to review The Square Botique Hotel. I chose very poor accommodation option, and mentioned all of the above. I was shocked to find out that my review was changed to the following:- 10 Excellence Very beautiful hotel & staff The most beautiful thing in our stay is feeling like you're with your family, the girl who made breakfast makes delicious food for us everyday and the guys in reception helped us alot in choosing local food restaurants and visit nearby places for shopping Maybe the elevator was a little bit scary but we used to it

The staffs is horrible, all of them (one girl and two boys that we met) lied about everything and make no effort to speak in English. The girl from reception started to speak with us for check-in, after somebody else comes (an egyptian) and let us just like this, for 10 minute, without no information. All of them want money from everything. They showed a book with some activities that they organize (Giza Piramids, Cairo) and when we said "thank you" politely, because we already booked, she started to do some facial expressions... The room was dirty, we found some packages near the windows... Unfortunately, I did not take some pictures. Also, they start to serve the breakfast after 9, 9.30, we said that we need to go to visit and the visits starts early in the morning, but just they don't care. It was needed me to yell to him to have the breakfast at 8.30 (an acceptable hour, after me). And, the last lie was the transfer to airport. They proposed us to get to airport and we accepted (for 250 LE - triple than the Uber). We also asked and paid one more night there till our flight (that was at 4am) because my husband twisted his ankle. We agreed with them to get us at 00.30 (so, with a lot of time in advance) from hotel. The girl told us that it takes one hour to arrive at the airport. At 23, they came to our door saying that 'the driver is already here and the way to airport is very crowded'. I said that i think it's ok because we have tine until the flight, but to be sure, we accepted to leave at 00.00. After 20 minutes, they came back and said that we need to go now because the way is blocked because of some works. They hurry us to leave the room (even if we paid the completely night). My thought is that they did not register the payment (all was cash) and all of them kept the money for one night (624 LE). And guess what, we made 20 minutes till the airport ...no trafic and no works. All was a lie just to make us leave faster. As i said before, i think that they shared the money between them. I do NOT recomand this hotel. For us, it was an horrible experience. They ALL want just our money without making a minimum of attention to us. Thanks, Ioana Dumitrescu
