This is a beautiful hotel, well named as is indeed full of charm. The bedrooms are huge and so well furnished as well as luxuriousl bathroom and even office in our suite. The rooftop restaurant was actually the best food we had while in Egypt and indeed we ate all 3 meals during our one day and night’s stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and the cost was a fraction of some of the ‘top’ chain hotels in Cairo. However, a big negative was the noise during the night (it was a Saturday night during the holiday period), even the earplugs didn’t block it out. If you are sensitive to noise you will need to ask for a room not facing the busy streets (the music ended at 2am and the Muzzenin started at 5am!)

Aside from the historic charm and central location of the hotel, one standout feature is the quality of the staff. The hotel staff has clearly been trained to top international standards. You get professional attention and personal service from every member of the staff, and it is five star quality. You won't find better.

Excellent services and place ! You can really leave a typical Egyptian experience! The rooms are so comfortable and elegant . The staff really nice and efficient . The only negative thing is the noise coming from the market down the hotel but this is normal in the center of Cairo.

It is a very nice boutique hotel, located in the heart of Old Cairo. It has an old vibe like a 1920s feeling to it. Rooms a very spacious which is awesome and each one has a distinct decoration. Rooftop terrace where breakfast is served, is the best, has great views of old Cairo.
