Longchamps l Zamalek l Boutique Hotel with Breakfast

My son and I stayed at Hotel Longchamps for two nights. We highly recommend staying here when you are in Cairo. Hebba is a professional and runs a clean, lovely hotel in a great location. She went above and beyond to help us and gave us wonderful advice on restaurants and sites to see. She also helped us arrange transport to/from the airport with a kind driver. Don’t miss the fantastic breakfast in the morning. So many delicious items are offered. We also enjoyed sitting on the lovely balcony after a long day of sightseeing.

This is a lovely B&B style hotel, a true oasis in a very dusty and noisy city. We stayed for three nights at the beginning of our trip and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is beautifully designed with carefully curated art and antiques. Rooms are airy and very clean with lovely linens and towels. Later we learned the true value of this wonderful establishment. When our travel plans got messed up and we found ourselves needing a room in the middle of the night, we called Longchamps at an ungodly hour and a room was made ready for us. It was wonderful to slip into a clean bed with soft linens after the turmoil of our day. We are grateful to Hebba and her staff for their gracious hospitality and now feel we have a home away from home in Cairo.

We stayed in a three-person room in February for five nights. This hotel was almost spotless and the location was one of the best to stay in in Cairo. You will have to use Uber or the subway to get out of the island but this is not a problem. The Ubers are extremely cheap. The hotel takes up a floor of a building and there is a small elevator that can take you up. There is 24-hour security and a 24-hour receptionist on the hotel floor. The rooms are big and very well furnished and very clean. The bathroom facilities worked well. We were there during the winter, so we had no opportunity to check the AC. The buffet breakfast was quite impressive and nicely presented. The selection was pretty good. We were very happy with what we got for our money since the upscale hotels in Cairo are quite pricey. This seems to be an excellent choice for stays in Cairo for this price range,

Hotel Lonchamps is a hidden gem in Cairo! Having stayed in a few different hotels in the city on our trip, all of which were 4 or 5 star big name hotels, I can confidently say that Longchamps outranked them all! Most of the hotel buildings are relatively old and, even with some renovations, don't compare to the cleanliness and prestine of this hotel. As you arrive, you'll walk into a seemingly empty building and can choose to take the elevator or the stairs up to the hotel. Don't be alarmed, the location is perfect and the building is nice and quiet. Longchamps is in a university area on Zamalek island that has a great vibe during the day, is easy to walk around safely--traffic isn't horrifying here, and is nice and quiet at night. Our bedroom window opened (with a screen) to trees and the sound of birds every day, even in busy Cairo! Breakfast is simle and very delicious, and the hotel has a beautiful patio surrounded by trees and plants. It was hard to believe we were in the middle of such a big city! The atmosphere and staff just topped it all off. We felt so relaxed while we were there and were taken such great care of by all of the staff we met. Thank you so much to Heba and her team for making our stay nothing short of perfect! We'll definitely be back again and I would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Cairo or looking for a staycation.

A wonderful hôtel to stay in when in Cairo. In the Zamalek district - which has a very cool vibe - the hotel is in the fifth floor of a building with two lovely terraces, comfortable rooms and the common areas have a vintage-chic feel. The hotel is quiet (which is important in Cairo!) with helpful staff and a friendly kind owner.

The Hotel Longchamps was perfect for a brief stay in Cairo. The location is great, walkable to tons of great restaurants, bars, cafes, etc. Hebba, the owner, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was everything we could hope for. The premises are lovely. Breakfast was buffet style and had an amazing variety of choices. The rooms were great, AC, modern, spacious. Staff were all friendly and welcoming. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!
