The waterfront areas are pretty, the bed was comfortable, and there's abundant wildlife. The pool is nice. The restaurant across the street, which is not associated with the hotel, is good. Cahuita is a nice town that seems to have good dining options. Maybe there are some nicer rooms, or maybe it was much nicer several years ago? The room I was in needed a lot of repairs and better cleaning.

The staff, the grounds and the pool are all excellent.The wildlife in the grounds is varied and interesting. The cabana we had was not very good. It was advertised as having a hot tub/ jacuzzi. It did, but there was no plug and a merry dribble of usually tepid hot water. We were there for 5 nights and the bed linen was not changed during that time. It is a shame that I can only rate the place average but the accommodation deserves no more.

From the hammock at the entry you can watch animal like incl. toucans, sloth and lizards. The breakfast area and pool are truly nice - the drawback could be a bit remote location from the center though.

The place was a dump. We had two rooms and both of them had a lot of bug including mosquitoes ants and termites.. The staff was not very accommodating. I called the tour agency we booked from and said they should not send other people there.

Dated facility barely kept running. Thin walls made normal activity next door an issue if sleeping. Breakfast not free. Safety is questionable as the gates are never locked. No on site security. No safe in room. Door locks are easily defeated with a credit card. Everything is falling apart. Reminds me of a 70's kids camp. I paid $35 @ night, and felt that was a bit high for the property. Only stay here if you cannot afford better. AC did work, but the minute you leave the property, they come into your room and shut it off. They did this every day.

What a wonderful place to get away from it all. 5 mile of mostly empty beach within 3 min walk. Wildlife all around. Saw Sloths, birds and psychedelic frogs while there. Grounds are beautiful. Great staff. Great restaurant across the street.

Warm welcome from Marcello, the owner and this was carries through to our departure. Small but heavenly place to stay with private cabins serviced daily amongst lush gardens and a beautiful pool area. Access to beach also and sloths in situ in gardens! Lovely variety of freshly prepared hot and continental breakfast. Made the end of our holiday just idyllic. Only downside some walk to main town but lovely stomp with flora and fauna on the way.

The hostel is located in the Cahuita area It has great facilities ( plenty of parking space, swimming pool and direct view to the sea) and you can even enjoy local fauna in the trees & private garden The rooms are big and they offer typical Costa Rican breakfast The staff is very friendly

This is a nice little beach view hotel. Our 2 bedroom cabina was clean and comfortable. The evenings by the pool are relaxing. One small issue with room was handled efficiently to our satisfaction. Close to several local activities but you will need a car as there is little within walking distance.
