Hôtel Restaurant des Grottes du Pech Merle

We were walking the Cele variant and stayed in a room in the annex. This was a good stop as we were going to visit Peche Merle the next morning. The room was fine but there was no wifi, we had to go to the main building for that. We had lunch and dinner and it was all excellent. For breakfast, the proprietor set out a basket full of croissants and pain au chocolat still warm from the local bakery. So we could forgive the lack of wifi. Don't be late for breakfast, these went quickly.

Just had dinner at the hotel des Grottes. We are local and the main course is always good. Desserts are usually ok. Last night the desserts were absolutely stunning. Superbly cooked and fresh. My husband had the walnut tart..it war stunning, and I had panacotta with rasberry coulis...really really great! Well done the Grottes. We will be back far more than our usual once a month. Highly recommended. To add...really lovely service too.

Worst hotel I’ve stayed in in years. The owner was most unwelcoming. Though several languages listed he only spoke French, ok but don’t list others. Signage to room literally non existent and when asked him he stormed off In Direction of room waving his hands in a parody of a French hotelier even giving a French shrug, was rude and dismissive. As for the room it had a comfortable bed and a lockable door. No water, no tv, no Curtains or blinds, no extra pillows available, no working clock in fact no decorative touches, no safe, no kettle, no glasses, no where to store clothes just some hangers on a pole in front of the mirror, no soundproofing and the metal shutters only opened on 1 of 3 windows so overall not great. Asked for gluten free breakfast reply gluten free NO. We are ion a 14 day road trip and by far the worst hotel but is in a great location.

Situation idéale au bord du Célé, la piscine sera un plus pour une baignade après la randonnée. En plein centre du village et en accès direct au GR. L'accueil du patron est très sympa, la chambre familiale avec vue sur le Célé était propre et assez spacieuse et au calme. Le restaurant permet des choix variés chaque jour et propose quelques spécialités. Cuisine fort correcte et personnel attentif! Le Patron est à l'écoute et aux petits soins. Nous étions à pied avec sacs à dos et nous avons pû lessiver notre linge avant de repartir. TOP! On y retournera ;)

Absolument magnifique ! Cet hôtel mérite grandement une 3eme étoile , accueil chaleureux , dîner parfait dans un cadre romantique sur l’eau et chambre très jolie . Vous pouvez vous baigner dans une belle piscine juste au dessus du Célé .À ne pas manquer

Chambre petite voir exigue propre mais pas de télé !personnel charmant Prix raisonnable accès piscine possible cadre agréable pour une nuit de passage.un conseil au patron équipez de télés vos chambres car les soirées sont longues !petit déjeuner très bien
