The African Paradise Beach Hotel

Stayed here four nights and it was fabulous! The owners are kind and generous and I had welcome bracelets in my room! The staff is wonderful and food is delicious. Had a balcony/ocean view room. Had 3 dinners here and chose fresh fish…fabulous! Breakfasts starts with fresh fruit! Owners kindly arranged taxi for Rock Restaurant. I will miss the animals and serenity this place offers. We had a complimentary group boat ride yesterday to see Paje beach, swim and snorkel! 5++ star in my opinion!

Great beachfront hotel and restaurant. What makes this location special are the owners and the staff. They are all so kind and ready to help you. The food is great, fresh and tasty, there's no need to search in other places. Overall a great experience!

You have it in the name, all you need is covered in that corner of the beach. Very clean rooms with all the facilities. No A/C but with the ceiling and the stand up fans was more than enough. The food and drinks were second to none, with very high quality, generous amounts and good prices. The best is for the end, the most helpful staff I have ever met led by the lovely owners that will make everything they can for whatever you need or want, spot on, you nailed it!!

Love this place! The owners are so friendly and do whatever they can to make you feel at home. Staff is great and very helpful also. Excellent service! And we love the food and the huge breakfast! Big rooms with fan.

The African Paradise is set right on the beachfront of the Indian Ocean. The staff are friendly, polite and very helpful. The owners Pia and Hashim did everything possible to ensure we had an amazing stay. They are very knowledgeable of the local area and extremely kind even arranging a free snorkelling trip and surprise cake for my husbands birthday. I would recommend this to anyone looking for relaxation in paradise. Thank you to everyone at the hotel.

We spent 8 nights at this hotel. -Location: Very safe beachfront property, about 30-minute safe walk to Paje. If you have no vehicle, you can also take a taxi or tuc tuc. On-site free parking available. -Service Very warm welcome to all guests upon arrival. Pia and Hasim and the entire staff make your stay special. They are extremely friendly, generous, always available, responsive, helpful and attentive to all details. The daily room cleaning was always prompt and spotless. -Food and drinks: Excellent, tasty, fresh, good variety, reasonably priced. Great breakfast: fresh fruit and juice, daily varying surprise dish, eggs (any style), coffee/tea -Beach: Helpful tide table provided upon arrival. The seaweed that comes ashore is removed every morning. Beautiful white powder, lots of palm trees, very flat, leading to very big differences between high tide (swimming possible) and low tide (no swimming possible, however walk on tidepools up to outer reef recommendable for mainly starfish gazing. Hotel provides adequate footwear to avoid stepping on sea urchins. Beautiful sun and moon rises. - Rooms We stayed in an inside room with no view: It was adequate as we only spent time sleeping and showering in it. Very clean, good shower with shampoo, shower gel, soap and two fans in the bedroom with comfortable mattress. -Tours/Massage offered: Many options available, however somewhat pricey. With our own car we were able to access all the island attractions easily. If you respect the driving rules and are friendly to the police, they are also friendly to you. - Value: Excellent value. Can highly recommend.

Visiting Zanzibar for our anniversary and started the trip at this beautiful hotel in Bwejuu. The owners, Hashim and Pia, are super friendly and welcoming, and made the stay an absolute joy. The room had all we needed, and the location is good with a nice walking distance to Paje beach. The owners were able to assist with any recommendations, arranging transport, and we really have nothing to fault about our stay. Every member of staff was amazing! The food was also great with very generous servings. If you’re looking to stay on the east coast with the perfect balance of peacefulness, value for money, and proximity to beaches/restaurants then I definitely recommend this hotel. We hope to return one day :-)

Enjoyed my stay immensely, What might be lacking in "modern" fixtures is more than made up for with the overall experience of everything that this amazing place and it's fabulous staff are providing . I feel that however many compliments I give, I still won't be able to make justice to how fantastic this place is: the location, the food, the vibe, the tranquility, absolutely everything about it excels . The rooms we had were large and spacious with a locked safe box, but some snacks also would have been great. Guests who opted not to have their room cleaned one night for environmentally friendly reasons were given a voucher for an a la carte restaurant which was a pleasant surprise. The Turkish owners, Pia&Hassim are as friendly as their staff as well. I missed playing that game with that little stones. I missed the dog LEO. I missed the coconuts and the hospitality of their friendly staff and owners. . A night restaurant and lobby bar also function throughout the late evening and were available when we had an early start. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere but as everything is provided at the hotel this was too much of an issue and taxis are easily available in the area of the hotel. There isn’t a concierge service provided at the hotel or a hotel-provided opportunity to book excursions. Independent tour agencies do come by in the morning on the beach, which you can use to book excursions but they were a lot cheaper than online services.
