Premier Inn Bude

rooms were not ready on time , 3pm is the check in time and they still were not ready by 4.30 meaning we were late for our family get together meal and couldnt get washed and changed to go. Never have we been placed in family rooms this small and it was not acceptable, all the beds were squashed into the room so it was one big mattress pretty much . questionable that the windows opened too far especially considering they put the childs bed right next to it so the baby can sit or stand on the window sill . only place to put the travel cot is right next to the kettle that is hard wired into the socket meaning it cannot be safely plugged in at different socket. We often use premier inns and i have never had an experience like this one , poor service and very poor rooms.

Probably a generous rating. No major things to complain about, delivery to customer what you would expect from PI, could do better though. Room adequate, a bit tatty but acceptable. Standard Wi fi pathetic, 4 G ain’t great there either. Restro service all over the place. Dinner one night ok but slow service - one chef, one lady doing Reception and waitressing - didn’t work in the customer favour. Breakfast haphazard, run out of plates, then mugs, then fruit salad, then elements of the hot dishes, run out of pastries 2 mornings completely. Some of this understandable given demand, staff should be proactively topping up as necessary rather than being pressed by the customer. Location of hotel excellent, parking worked out ok. Hotel needs some closer management attention,

Customer service - doing the minimum or going the extra mile: we arrived at 14:35, I tentatively went in and asked the lady on reception if we could check in, she said no and advised we had to come back at 3pm. We decided to sit and wait in reception area…5mins later another colleague walks in (didn’t catch name but was young with blonde hair), she comes up to us and asks if we’re waiting for a room, then proceeded to take us to the reception desk saying they are under booked so will be loads of rooms available - and checks us in! Not o my did she get us checked in early, but then proceeded to tell us where everything was in Bude, including recommendations for food! A real Premier Inn asset and role model for other staff! It’s a Prem Inn, so you know what you’re getting - tidy room with comfy bed, and all your normal amenities. Breakfast great apart from bacon, which was literally flavourless! But all else great and well cooked! Biggest moan was getting charged £3.50 for a J2O!!! Cheaper to drink alcohol! Would stay again if in the area

Just had breakfast at bude Premier inn.What can I say?Lucy,Taylor,Tony the chef have impeccable manners.From the welcome , right through the breakfast service nothing was too much for the thee of them.A credit to the company they work for.Always smiling and attentive. Tony the chefs breakfast was top notch quality.The poached eggs were first class,Thanks again Kevin and Debra from Birmingham

A nice modern hotel with comfortable bedrooms good showers and a nice breakfast area . Well-placed for exploring the town and wharf area. Helpful, friendly service. Good breakfast . We would go again. Overnight parking is reasonable and close by at the Crescent car park,by the tourist office

Quick and easy early check in, Explanation given about the room keys and how to book if we wanted breakfast. Warned us of imminent fire drill (much appreciated ) The room was clean and bright with a great view. Lovely comfy bed with ample pillows. Plenty of hot water, the bath was lovely and shower had good pressure. Good supply of tea/sugar that was easy to top up (from supplies near front desk) if needed. Very friendly and helpful staff.
